In!!!

Complete Feb 25th

True story: I got the email in the middle of tutoring someone, and the attachment wouldn't open when I discretely tried to open it using my phone while the kid did a math problem. Columbia admissions purgatory throughout the rest of the lesson and drive home, until I could check my email on my computer. #anxiety

haha thanks! It was very difficult to drive the speed limit, but somehow I managed.

ETA: And congrats to you and all the other recent admits! In my haste to poke fun at my situation, I forgot to include that in my original post

Have people who interviewed heard a decision within the time frame their interviewer promised? I interviewed in the last round and I was supposed to hear within 2 weeks. This week exceeds that deadline, so I'm wondering whether I should be expecting something soon or whether the interviewers aren't exactly accurate when they predict when you'll hear back.

Does Butler scholarship come with the acceptance letter?

My numbers are.. at 75% for LSAT and above 75% for GPA.
Haven't got anything attached to my letter and admitted student packet. :(
Scholarships would be a big indicator of where I go.

Unfortunately yes. Doesn't mean you can't snag an 85k grant package though.

Congrats Nutella!

You're pretty much my exact numbers twin. When did you go complete?

Anyone know what Columbia's deadline is to accept/reject a scholarship offer? if we buy the theory that they are waiting to see re: yield on outstanding scholarship offers, is it possible we could see some more acceptances shortly after these deadlines (assuming some people reject their offers)?

Feeling left out of the acceptances yesterday. There were a few people around my numbers (173/3.9x) accepted on LSN yesterday that went complete around when (or after) I did. Probably reading too much into this, but would have been nice to hear from the last school I'm waiting on.

So confused by Columbia. Had my interview over two weeks ago and haven't heard back despite promises that they'd get back in under the two week deadline. Did anybody else who was interviewed hear back from them later than promised?

This is a bad look IMO. If they don't get back to me within 2 weeks of my interview it's going to take a lot of money for me to consider going

It's beyond looking bad at this point...especially relative to NYU. The two approaches could not be more distinct. Curious to see how many just say fuck it and choose NYU.

NYU has definitely impressed me. If they sent a full-ride my way I probably would have gone. The quick admissions response time and constant stream of outreach are definitely a stark contrast to the cold shoulder approach of CLS.

Agreed. NYU has been so great. CLS...not so much. Especially when the interview was (technically) voluntary. And people who submitted after me and didn't interview have heard back.

When is the absolute latest we can expect to hear back? Most school deadlines for statements of intent to register are late April or early May, right? So Columbia should get to us within a month's time at the most, if they've got any decency left, I'm thinking...

02/03 complete here, and nothing since, though I think my numbers would at least have merited a hold by now (pretty awful to be hoping for a hold)

It's OK, I've been complete since November, with nothing since... I used to have plenty of TLSers in the same boat as me, but they've mostly all been hit by "Hold" waves I think. It is the worst.

I'm with you. Early December complete, radio silence ever since. Not sure what to make of it - at least have the decency to hold us amirite?

LOL

The NYU topic is full of people (myself included) who have been sitting at UR1 since October or November without a whisper from admissions.

Sorry about that  I was just speaking to my personal experience. NYU was relatively quick to respond and has followed up regularly. Hope you all hear some good news from them soon.
