Gonna have to agree. If I hadn't done well elsewhere, I would have guessed that I have some glaring issue in my application by now.

Does the pilot interview affect Columbia's acceptance decision? I may have messed up badly on mine earlier today.

I imagine that, yes, the interview is a factor in the decision.

Interviews rarely go as badly as you thought. Don't sweat it.

Good point, you don't even know how to talk about it. Everywhere else we say "when snow falls" or "when we get snow." HTH

Here it's just "when it snows," implying that we know it's going to happen just about every 3-5 days like it does every year lol.

+1

This is a credited way to talk about snow.

Yeah, well, I've seen it a little more than a handful of times in my life....My neighbor calls it "sky ice." We don't know what to do...we just shut everything down until it warms back up.

I've also been looking like a hobo since I don't have an actual coat and have just been piling on random clothing items to keep warm. I have some adjusting to do if I go to Columbia.

I just want to know if I need to change my flight out to a day earlier so I can hit up CLS's ASW when I'll be going to NY for NYU's ASW! Come on, CLS, time is money!

Every time I get excited about possibly attending Columbia I get this exact thought of "oh crap, the weather adjustment is going to be brutal." I've lived in two climates in my life: the Bay Area growing up, and San Diego the last few years. To say I have never experienced a "real" winter is an understatement.

It was 70 degrees here today and it felt sort of hot walking around in shorts and a t-shirt. I've been to the beach just about every weekend for the last month. I have one "heavy" jacket that is probably good for 30 degree weather. The thought of that kind of cold and dealing with snow just honestly seems unreal to me.

When comparing San Diego weather to any other weather, the other weather is always going to lose. Seriously that place has perfect weather. If I lived in San Diego I would never leave. Let alone leave to go to law school :D

As someone who grew up in San Diego the above is credited.

Yeah, it is incredibly hard to accept that no matter what I am saying bye to San Diego for minimum 3 years. People really can't overstate the absolute amazingness of the weather and just the city (and the massive area that SD entails) in general. The only thing it's missing is a strong law school. If there was an equivalent of a regional power house like UCLA/USC down here there would be absolutely nothing that could persuade me to leave.

How long does it usually take to go complete at Columbia? It's been about a month since I submitted.

Real talk, they must be waiting to see what their Butler/Hamsauce yield is like.

Considering the delay in koala's inevitable acceptance, I have to agree.

They're not going to know that for months, though, right...?
