15 Hamiltons + 103 Butlers = 118
Entering class size = 430
118 / 430 = 27%

So if you're above both 75ths...

I am pretty certain based on the report that those are totals for the school, not per class. It seems that 9.2% of the school is on half through full scholarship.

That seems somewhat low to me. But having said that, the 27% seems pretty high. Hmm.

I bet the yield is super low on Butler offers.
EDIT: Preliminary scouting of LSN 2012-2013 reveals minimum 7/11 Hammies declined.

Yale Dude. Kids grew up wanting to be in Slytherin.

For someone committed to PI, it's not clearly a bad choice (if you're lucky enough to have it). You're still likely to take out enough debt for NY COL that you'll have to rely on PAYE and PSLF, at which point your actual loan balance is basically irrelevant. Might as well go to the school that has better placement and better LRAP.

Just to add my two cents:

Slytherin = Columbia
Gryffindor = H
Ravenclaw = Y/Chi
Hufflepuff = Michigan

The others are all kind of a mixture imho

My opinion:
Slytherin: Chi/Columbia
Gryffindor: H/S
Ravenclaw: Y
Hufflepuff: Michigan

Berk is probably a Hufflepuff/Gryffindor hybrid.

Hufflepuff: Harvard (working hard on those numbers!)
Ravenclaw: Yale (as smart as possible. campus even looks like a wizard's castle)
Gryffindor: Stanford (Not the smartest/best numbers, but the people are amazing)
Slytherin: Thomas M. Cooley

I would say...

Slytherin: H/Chic
Gryffindor: S/Penn
Ravenclaw: Y
Hufflepuff: Mich/Duke

Any reason in particular why you guys have Columbia for Slytherin? As ridiculous as that question sounds, I do mean it to be serious. :D

Based on everything I've heard from friends who attend/application process/popular "wisdom" it has a reputation for being a cold school.

But please admit me, Columbia, I can change

I couldn't fit Columbia into my Harry Potter lineup, so I'm borrowing from Game of Thrones. I think Littlefinger would go to Columbia.

Had my interview earlier this week. It was very conversational and my interviewer was very nice. My advice to those who have an upcoming interview is to be ready to talk about why law, why Columbia, and your application in general including WE, undergrad, your personal statement and if there is anything glaring (C&F issues, multiple LSATs, inconstant grades, etc). Altogether it was very easy going and you should not be too worried.

I can assure everyone that being at the 75ths is not enough to get a butler, fyi.
