If we don't get any decisions until the first/second week of February, then the turnaround for people looking to attend the ASW is going to mighty quick.

Anyone know if Columbia helps cover travel/lodging for ASW? Apologies if this has already been asked/answered.

I think there is a better than even chance that this will be the case, sadly.

What were the dates for the ASW? Someone posted them ITT earlier, right? I know they overlapped with one of the NYU ones, but it was the late March one, right? So March 26/27. I wouldn't be surprised if they thought Feb 7 was early enough to make travel arrangements. But I'd be surprised if decisions were much later than that.

I think the first days are the last weekend in March, because I recall they overlapped with Duke. The April days are for sure April 9 & 10 (Wed and Thur) whereas NYU is 10 & 11. So if that's any guide the March ASW will be 26 & 27 as you mentioned.

I'll be a the April NYU ASD, so if I get into CLS I'll be shooting for the 4/9-4/10 dates.

Columbia's first ASW is Wed-Thurs, March 5-6. It overlaps with NYU's first ASW March 6-7.

Edit: grammar

That's a stupid quick turnaround if we don't get decisions until February.

Yeah, I agree. Unless they want that ASW to be almost entirely EDers, which seems like a silly purpose for an ASW (since EDers are already committed, not that EDers don't deserve an ASW).

That would be a small ASW, I'd imagine.

I see only one more ASW scheduled as of now on April 9-10, which overlaps with NYU's ASW on April 10-11. I don't see anything else scheduled for CLS during NYU's other ASW at the end of March.

How long did it take for most of you to go complete? I'm still processing and I submitted on 1/3... :(

It can take 3-4 weeks on average. No need to worry until about mid-February for you. Make sure you send in a the Dean's Letter if you had a C&F disclosure from school.

Waiting is THE WORST. But thanks! No C&F disclosures for me

Apologies if this is in the thread, but when are the ASW's? Asking because I can't imagine they wait til Feb if an ASW is like a month from there (it IS NYC though, so they could do this more than most schools...)

According to an earlier post in the thread, they are March 5/6 and April 9/10

Okay, for those of us without interviews, why would they wait to tell us their decisions? This is only a trial so even if interviews affect those interviewed (which it almost seems like they won't based on their info page), they definitely won't affect us. I'm sure they've already decided what to do with many of the pre thanksgiving apps.
And why would it be so crazy to call and ask when rd people without interviews can expect to hear? They mention the turnaround for those with them...I'd have to book a flight from California and the early ASW is the only one I can make. I'm sure I'm not alone.
Sorry for my venting. If anyone can answer these id love them forever. Going slightly crazy here.

The first one is the first week of March (either the 5/6th or 6/7th I think, one of them is NYU's and they overlap). I agree, it's gonna be an ED-only party if they don't get some decisions out quickly! :(
