So since most schools will be closed for holiday next week, every EDer WILL get a decision by tomorrow right?

Was just furiously refreshing Gmail given we just crossed 5pm EST and I got an alert sound coming from outlook on my work email. Almost jumped a mile!

Took me a second to realize gmail doesn't make those silly sounds...

I'm seriously wound up.

Not necessarily. I called last week and was told they will aim to have all ED decisions rendered by the end of the year, but they may fall over to the new year. Bummer

If it doesn't come tomorrow, I still think Monday is a possibility, but maybe I'm being too optimistic. :?

Rangers deferral tells me that the gpa floor may be very real due to the abundance of mild splitters applying

3.5 I believe?

Edit, I was wrong, its 3.4 I wasn't looking at the right thing.

I think it's 3.4. But Columbia seems to have a system where the lower your GPA, the higher your LSAT should be to offset it if you're a splitter.

first post guys! nice to actually post after reading the threads for a few months... I should have signed up a lot sooner and stopped being a lurker. quick about me: I'm an ED applicant, good GPA and solid LSAT, but nothing all that special in my opinion. softs are great and i hope work experience puts me over the edge.

anyway, question is to people who keep talking about email decisions. on the CLS site it says they're going to snail-mail out their decisions. what gives? i've been sprinting home from work to check my mailbox for the last week!

Was reading some older posts, and apparently the emails go out for ED's but not for RD's. If I had to venture a guess, it's so you can promptly withdraw your applications from other schools.

interesting thing to note: columbia said 365 approximate places in class of 2017. seems like an increase from last year.

They'll prolly ask later if you're flirting with their 25th/median/75th... So you'll likely be asked later if your lsat is clutch

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
