Has anyone been dinged/rejected yet? Or are these reserves just holding on to the inevitable rejectees?

There have been a few reported rejections. They have come by snail mail.let.me.in.please wrote:Has anyone been dinged/rejected yet? Or are these reserves just holding on to the inevitable rejectees?

Held last week, and I am considering withdrawing. I'm probably not getting any money (173/3.6), and I really don't feel comfortable paying sticker with Columbia's COA.
Would a plain acceptance from Columbia without money be worth anything in scholarship negotations for MVP?

For those curious about when the reserves will hear back, but weren't reserved yourself, here is a bit from the document they sent:
"The next evaluation of candidates on Reserve will begin at the end of May. At that time some
applicants will be offered or denied admission. Others, however, will be asked if they wish to
continue on Reserve in order to be considered for those vacancies that normally arise during the
summer months."

Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
thanks all! Yea, not sure why email. The actual email doesn't contain the decision. It just references the attachment, which looks like what I assume the snail mail letter looks like.
edit: correct, I'm not international

first set of admitted student days is next week; maybe they want to notify people in a more timely fashion so that they can make travel arrangements?lakers180 wrote:congrats!

Any idea on when those of us who were held might expect a decision? Sent a LOCI the day of my hold notification. This process is frustrating...

Accepted today via email (non-international). Email contained a PDF of the letter that will be sent out.
Still in disbelief. I was not expecting to get accepted. No interview. Went complete about 2 weeks ago.
There is still hope for those who haven't heard yet!
I am a splitter Above 75 LSAT below 25 GPA FYI (non-urm).
