My app took literally 50 days to go complete, and I got in. You're okay, don't worry.Cocoblues wrote:cesium wrote:I submitted on 1/19, but I haven't even received a "complete" yet. Is this normal?

Checking in. Threw a Hail Mary application to Columbia back in November. Still hanging tough, but the wait is brutal. Is there a deadline that most school adhere to as far as making an initial decision?
I feel like I've read April 1st on one of my status checkers, but I forget which one. Is that pretty standard?

Has Columbia only done one WL wave so far? I submitted in early December and I'm 99% sure I'm a WL.

Checked my mailbox three times yesterday.
Realized it was a federal holiday.

Been completion pending since January 13th - the wait is killing me.
Is there any evidence that indicates a longer move from Pending -> Complete indicates a higher likelihood of ding/WL?

I did, got a WL at Chicago. Good to know that NYU is the fastest.jy9626 wrote:Did you hear back from Chicago? They are really slow too. I guess Columbia and Chicago take so long, as they give out generous merit scholarships without extra essays.
And Penn and UVA take so long, since these yield protectors contemplate whether or not to accept people with 3.9+ and 175+.
I'm speculating.

What is the consensus on these interviews? I just got a request today and I'm not sure what to think. I am an URM with GPA<25th and LSAT~75th. I haven't been following the interview trend here so I don't know if there's any rhyme or reason to it.

You got an interview request today!? When did you go complete approximately?teampeeta wrote:What is the consensus on these interviews? I just got a request today and I'm not sure what to think. There doesn't seem to be much of a pattern developing yet
