I hope you're right. Though they held a lot of similarly qualified applicants which doesn't, at first blush, make a whole lot of sense either.Humbert Humbert wrote:There are a lot of us still waiting with numbers above their medians. I'm starting to think that all us waiters will be dinged. There have been waves of admits, holds, and reserves. The only thing they haven't sent out in a major ding wave...

Anyone have any sense of where the emailed accepted candidates are located geographically? Maybe they mailed out acceptances today for people to whom they were certain the letter would come by the end of the week, and emailed the rest?
Just throwing out crackpot theories here.

Well, the three reports ITT seemed to be from noon EST (only one gave the time zone, but all three said noon and said so in close time-proximity to each other)... which hurts your theory. For those who interviewed, how long did it take to get a decision after the interview? My interviewer told me the decision would come within 2 weeks, hasn't happened though.

I am a NYS resident. Not NYC area, but I have family from the area and my mail usually takes 2 or 3 days. If it was postmarked today I probably would have gotten it by the end of the week.lawschool22 wrote:Anyone have any sense of where the emailed accepted candidates are located geographically? So I am not sure about this theory. Also, that seems like a lot of work for them to check mailing times based on address. I bet that all acceptances from here on will be via email.

But congrats to all the new admits! Now all the rest of us still waiting to hear can compulsively stress over checking both our physical mailboxes and our emails!lawschool22 wrote:And the collective hope ITT just died.okok wrote:My bad, should have said I just noticed it nowwtrc wrote:Congrats!!!okok wrote:Just got the Admit Email. I wish they would just send out quick email to all current applicants who haven't heard (easy to do) or send out a tweet that says "all decisions from here forward will be made via email" if that was the case.

Have any of my fellow interviewees from the week Feb. 10 to Feb. 14 heard anything yet?

Columbia Law has become my white whale. (A one act play)
Ahoy there, seen signs of a white whale on your travels?
"Turn back Ahab, only ruin and rejection letters awaits thee and thine crew."
We seek the Leviathan, to our watery deaths if need be.
"Earlier we had spied a few emails coming out from thereabouts on the starboard side, but they would be far gone by now..."
(With monomaniac giddiness) Yar, so it came through only recently. Men, hoist the sails and ready your harpoons, a gold doubloon to he who first sets his sight on the blue envelope. Moby Dick swims out there yet and yet will we harvest the monster's pure ambergris and tidy scholarships. I'll have that infernal devil spawn strung along the side of the Pequod to ballast our trip home, I will avenge my lost leg and live the high life of New York City!
(End scene)

Award for most curve balls during the cycle definitely goes to CLS. Interviews. Multiple rounds of them. Email acceptances.
... next they'll send an English gentleman dressed as a squire to your door to read you your acceptance from a scroll.
