Thanks! I've never been quite sure how to evaluate how strong my softs are, but I feel like I've been super lucky this cycle!FuriousDuck wrote:I looked at your lawschoolnumbers profile. As an October applicant with both numbers above 75ths, I'm not feeling the love right now. Columbia is stringing me along.

Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
stringing you along to an acceptance, probably, looking at their LSN graphs they don't seem to pass up as many high numbered people as there are with long waits here. I guess people debunked the idea that they're waiting to hear back from scholarship people, so the next most likely culprit is their interviewing. they seem to like talking to applicants with high numbers, so maybe you're just in a reserve pile they're keeping for that. I don't know what the goal is, my understanding is that skype interviews are mostly there to make sure you aren't borderline autistic/know some token things about the school. I dunno, maybe they resent the fact that you didn't pick ColumbiaHopeful as your screen name.HarvardHopeful wrote:As an October applicant with both numbers above 75ths, I'm not feeling the love right now. Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
So... I was LSAT> 25th GPA>75th, and then I had a Feb retake.
Felt good about the test, so I sent an email last Monday to admissions asking them to hold off considering my application until after the new score came out. Did the same for NYU and UCB. I've gotten responses back from NYU and UCB, but not a peep from Columbia.
Why do I feel like this doesn't bode well?

If a second round of interviews is the reason they're delaying with so many admissions decisions, that is still kind of ridiculous... not letting October and November applicants know that they want to interview them when it's already well into FEBRUARY?

I still haven't heard anything - submitted end of November. This is very upsetting, as Columbia was definitely in my top 2 choices of schools. I'm expecting WL at this point.

I wouldn't worry yet, when I sent an application update to Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia, H and S responded almost immediately, while Columbia took a few days to acknowledge it had been received.mirroroferised7 wrote:So... I was LSAT> 25th GPA>75th, and then I had a Feb retake.

Bumping this. I was invited to interview and would love to know more about the process, but I haven't found anything on TLS about it.CURIOUSABOUTLAW wrote:Does anybody have any experience/knowledge about the Richard Paul Richman Leadership Fellowship?

Heard from everywhere I've applied except from Columbia. Are they the slowest in the T14, they're killing me! Wish they could just come back with a WL or ding..

I submitted on 1/19, but I haven't even received a "complete" yet. Is this normal?
