I submitted mine on Saturday and still haven't received an email from NYU either.

At this point, this is my NYU theory:

They're gunning for high LSATS, and are willing to tank their GPA median for it.

But come February, they are going to realize that more >75th LSATs aren't coming, and they are fucked if they can't get their GPA up. THEN they will let in someone like me, with a median LSAT, and a 75th GPA.

That's, my theory. LSN backs me up, as does the spreadsheet.

I realize that GPA is meaningless, but the geniuses at USNWR have made it a decent part of their infallible ranking system. So, I can still cling to this fragile hope.

How would they not let a median LSAT and 75th GPA in, in the first place? That's just insane

Because I'm the median they deserve, but not the median they need right now.

True. But philly is the exception, not the rule.

that seems longer than usual. I submitted at a similar time and got a confirmation email the next day. It might be worth a call if you haven't gotten anything by Friday.

Checking in—another person hoping to ride the median wave to victory. Congrats to all accepts so far! Even though I was RD and a late November submit, I'm getting more and more pessimistic by the day...

No idea of your stats, but since you said you were surprised, I figured you might be a splitter? I was just referencing the fact that they really seem to be moving quick on top-level LSATs. I could be way off lol :D

PRANK!!! SO I did not get into NYU! Someone at my job thought it would be funny to place the call! FYI not a funny prank! Guess I am a total ass for not checking my status before I made such a claim. Now I am humiliated. SON OF A BITCH! I think I am going to be sick.

The only penalty for the person who pranked you is death...by a series of dramatic karate moves.

That is a horrific person. Why would they think that was funny?

I am utterly horrified by this. Keep your head and spirits up: I know you will find a way of getting the education you need to keep progressing at your job. Best of luck!
