Checking in. Went complete yesterday (10/30) received my status checker email today (10/31). What has been the time between going complete and hearing back from them on a decision?

This cycle? No one has heard back (refer to the previous pages in this thread). Historically, decisions are released beginning in December

I like how you've become the official source on decision timelines in these threads.

Anyone else's status not change for awhile? Mine hasn't changed since the 19th, which is before I even got the status checker email.

I might start a separate thread on this to see if I can drum up more responses, but does anyone have a ballpark idea what numbers are needed to be competitive (or at minimum considered) for the fancy named scholarships like IILJ, Furman, etc? I tried to do some digging but not much comes up.

Thanks!

There is a list of ILLJ scholars on the website. I think the scholarship is not purely number wise, rather all the scholars have very significant international experiences.

Did anyone with a 174 or above in October get a waiver from NYU?

Are you guys writing a Why NYU essay?

I mean my numbers(177, 3.6+) pretty much mean that I NYU/Columbia/Chicago are going to be my realistic targets, and while I would be very happy attending NYU, there's nothing special that I can say in a why NYU essay

I don't think you need it. Usually it is more helpful for the common yield protecting schools (common wisdom is MVP). The general consensus is that if it doesn't really add to your application, you should leave it out.

That's my impression too. Just posting stuff from their website in a Why X essay would probably do more to harm than help me.

Submitted early October, still not complete though? Is it time to start kicking down doors to find out what the hold up is!?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
