Just realised the ambiguity in my sentence oops...kershka wrote:That's how I read it too. If we're right, Napoleon, then I don't think that factors into it. Then again, what do any of us know about the admissions process really?

Forgive my ignorance, but what does "[getting] in via ASW" mean?

Re: NYU c/o 2017 Applicants Thread!
It means that you were able to log into the admitted students website. Once you see "Decision Letter Sent" on your status checker, you can start trying to log into that website and thus can know if you were admitted before receiving the phone call and/or letter.cesium wrote:Forgive my ignorance, but what does "[getting] in via ASW" mean?

I have a question about the UR statuses. Does it say UR1/UR2 or do applicants track the date changes and correlate those with the UR rank?

Re: NYU c/o 2017 Applicants Thread!
Has anyone been at a standstill for weeks but received an acceptance?
I went UR1 mid-Dec and then UR2 1/3, the day Dec LSAT scores were released. However, I feel 1/3 was actually my UR1 because I read somewhere on here they don't review apps if you're pending a score release. I have been at that standstill to date.
Either way, the longer the wait, the more I feel I am a WL or Ding. They are so quick in turnaround time with acceptances that it's hard for me to convince myself otherwise.

Exact same for me. I hadn't considered the December LSAT thing. Ugh.AAJD2B wrote:Has anyone been at a standstill for weeks but received an acceptance?

does anyone have any theories for why some people with high LSATs/GPAs are stuck? NYU is my #1 choice, and I JUST DON"T UNDERSTANDDDDD :[samoby wrote:Exact same for me. In comparison to what I've seen, it seems up to par. Good/ semi-strong softs, work experience. Only thing I can think of is that I'm graduating this year...barrelofmonkeys wrote:How's like, the rest of your application?canes14 wrote:

Did any of the high-numbers/ stuck candidates apply for named scholarships? I did and I'm waiting too. My numbers aren't insane but I am an URM with >75th LSAT and <25th GPA. Others with lower numbers have heard back and I'm still "under review"
