If the status checker says decision letter was sent but if you didnt receive any email, does that usually mean you're dinged? :'( I'm out of country and won't be able to check my snail mail for about a month..

It means either ding or WL, unfortunately
. As mentioned, you can call the admissions office and they'll tell you which one it is.
