And another noob/obvious question. Are there no more forms for targeted letters of recommendation? Looks like they did away with that this cycle.

Hey All, I'm back. I ducked out for a while because I got nervous about lurking adcoms but i realized I was being silly, I had/have nothing to hide. Plus, TLS has been incredibly helpful to me, it would be wrong of me not to give back. I probably still won't be participating to the degree that I was before just because it was good to not be completely absorbed in these tangled threads but I am back.

Went under review in early Sept. but havn't heard anything yet...and probably won't until those rejection letters go out in Jan/Feb.

At a forum this fall Dean Deal said that she doesn't start reading applications until November. Is that true?

Just an update for everyone with apps in: I was skimming through last year's thread and it looks like status checkers don't change at all until a decision is made so prepare to be "submitted for review" until December at least.

Also, am I the only one who made a macro on my browser to automatically open all my status checkers in different tabs?

There was an app for that but they took it down, it looks like.

No it won't.

My friend solicited one from stanford and she said it was loads of information to fill.

I know this question is a bit old, but I figured I might go ahead and answer it for you, if you haven't received an answer already: I don't remember Stanford having a targeted LOR form last year. If you want to submit a targeted LOR, you can ask your recommender to write one and when he/she submits it, you can create a description on LSAC like "Stanford LOR" as an indication for yourself that the letter is a targeted one.

Thanks I appreciate the response :) I didn't know when they did away with it.

Anyone else having trouble logging onto the status checker? I got one like 2 months and never successfully logged onto it once, and I accidentally deleted the status checker email so I am not sure whether my information is correct. The Stanford status check username is essentially the same as the username for Harvard status check right? I assume it is since the interfaces are essentially the same.

IIRC, this was a constant problem last year. Might want to check that thread to see the if there was a solution.
