So what DID the letter say?

It said:

"Dear Mr. Irish Jew:
Chneyo = +1"

Very short and cryptic. What do you think it means?

Ugh sorry, they're missing out on some serious Wild West/1950s/into the future action. When did you go complete?

Congrats to the admits / condolences to the others.

I'm still UR somehow, but I'm sure my time is limited. November submitter, subpar stats for SLS

Me too. I'm hoping it means we've been "held," which I guess is better than being rejected.

ETA Please don't tell my wife I'm imagining SLS holding me on Valentine's

Yeah last year there were a few rejections in this corresponding week, and then a MUCH bigger batch on I think 2/22/13.

Sorry, Doc Brown. That sucks.

Sorry man. You're not alone. I just called them to ask since I didn't want to wait for that letter and have to spend all weekend clinging onto false slimer of hope. Good luck on the rest of your cycle.

Oh man. Gotta stop. Killin' me. LOL.

Just saw you went back and changed my name to "Wycliff T. Sturgeon." Thanks. That's definitely ridiculous enough to work as a pseudonym. I'll go back and change my original post to match!

With a mid November complete and the chronological order of the dings, I feel like I'm just waiting in line for the ax. The fact that they're doing them slowly is even more painful

Are you basing this on LSN? If so, maybe we actually shouldn't worry too much. LSN users seem to usually post acceptance as the day of receiving notification. For example Columbia mailed a bunch of acceptances this year dated January 24th, but the LSN acceptance dates are spread out early the next week, when people got the letters, but it was all pretty much one big wave. Maybe last year SLS did a batch of mailed rejections on 2/14 and they trickled in over the next week. If that's the case, and if the status checker is always up-to-date, then people who have no info in the status checker are safe for a little while and all the "new" rejections we'll see next week on LSN were really people rejected today? What do you think?

Of course I will :). It's not like I don't fully expect a ding with my numbers anyways, but it's sort of a strange feeling to know you're next in line

I'm a 11/6 submit... With worse stats than Leo... Pretty sure a DLS is coming my way. Don't know why it's taking so long though...

I think we have enough people here on TLS/LSN checking their status checkers, that if there had been a really big wave like there was on LSN 2/22 last year, then we would know about it.

The few dings we've seen this week match up with the few of the corresponding week last year, and I think within the next two weeks, we're going to see a much bigger batch.
