drawstring, you are on quarters too? :D

Dear stanford, I have reason to believe that students on the quarter system are better acclimated to a law school on the quarter system just sayin <3

I went back about three weeks ago, but one of my courses has three midterms and thus one is already nearing.

Three midterms? That's not cool. Not cool at all.

Dear Stanford, people on the semester system are better because...idk, we try harder to acclimate? You should admit us, is what I'm saying here.

:D I'm not actually in UG anymore and am enjoying all the midterms talk out of a perverse sense of satisfaction that I don't have any anymore. Until LS, but you know, ignoring that.

My midterms are all 5th week which makes etymological sense, but three in one week and two are papers... :[

My understanding is that midterms in LS are a great thing, because it means your entire grade isn't based on the final. :)

I prefer to have midterms week 4 and week 8, it's less stressful. One quarter I had a class with three midterms, a class with two, and a class with one, and so I had midterms each week from week 3 till week 8.

Quarter-long classes with 3 midterms (+ a final?) should not be allowed.

uggggg I know. At what point does a midterm just because a test?

I mean, it's all relative. One prof once gave a "quiz" worth 15% of our grade.

Is it weird that I stalk the Stanford Class of 2017 thread and dream of someday being able to post in there?

It's definitely weird.

I don't let myself read any of those threads. I popped in once and like, felt this deep sinking pit of despair so I left.

hi all, quick question--

How strict is Stanford with its two page limit? I submitted a PS that was closer to 3 pages... Did anyone get in while going over the limit?

I mean on their instructions they say "about two pages," so it's certainly not a hard and fast rule, but I would imagine most people did their best to stay close to two pages. The people who have been accepted can chime in and let you know if they were near three pages. You might try posting that question on c/o 2017 thread if you want responses specific to those who have been accepted.
