I'm not sure if this will help anyone else, but as a PSA, Stanford requested my study abroad transcript in addition to the transcripts required by LSAC/CAS - they were willing to accept it via email from my foreign institution though, so if anyone else faces this issue, save yourself the transcript fee!

i think elterrible's number crunching told as that the early advantage @ SLS is not statistically significant
I though SLS has the same policy as YLS.
I knew a guy from last cycle who submitted before deadline, but still was admitted.

So it shouldn't really matter. Also, google document suggests that SLS admits about 360 students.

They requested mine too. My study abroad was through an interesting option at my UG though - the school sends a professor w/ class abroad and you spend most of the time visiting corporations with some occasional coursework. I had to tell them the grades are actually in my UG transcript already.

Then my app went complete! Thus I am checking in here haha.

The law school uses a rolling admissions process, acting upon applications throughout the admissions season as they are completed. However, some applications are held until the committee has reviewed the entire applicant pool.
There's no encouragement to apply early, but they do say that people who take the Feb LSAT will be at a disadvantage, since there will be fewer seats at that point. I would rather have submitted earlier, but people keep telling me that "before thanksgiving" is early.

Of the acceptances who heard back in Jan last year, 13 applied in Sept/Oct, while 10 applied in Nov or later (one early Jan submission, a few Dec).

Good enough to know that having applied so recently won't put me at a disadvantage relative to Sept/Oct early-birds?

It's somewhat amusing to me that most of luckystar84's posting history is "deleted".

LOL

Lucky just needs to get the hang of this, and I think that (s)he will settle in and relax a bit once that happens

submitted last 2 weeks of Oct, complete for at least a week, >75% on both measures. status check still says complete and not waitlist or admit or anything. Should I be getting news soon?
These two gems were from two days apart in the Michigan thread. Solid posts.

Checking in. My application has been "submitted for review" as of 10/31/2013, I applied on 10/30/2013.

I knit when I'm nervous, and I've knit through all the yarn in the house. This wait is going to kill me.

Anyone else having problems with the Stanford status checker. It keeps saying username not found, but I've logged on several time before without a problem.

It's working for me now, so it must have been a temp server problem or something.

Sometimes it depends on how you got to the status checker. If you just google search it and click on the first link, it may misdirect you. The best bet is to go to the main website law.stanford.edu and then find the status checker link main - > Admission - > left side of screen should have link.

Look at the bold red on the first page of this thread. Status checker is very temperamental--always click on the link in the initial email that Stanford sent you.
