Does anyone know if this 3.8 GPA floor is rock solid? I'm very slightly lower, but my LSAT is well above the 75th. I apologize if this has been asked before, this is the only school whose thread I haven't followed because I didn't think I had a shot.

More than 25% of Stanford's class has less than a 3.8 GPA. They normally don't start accepting people with lower than a 3.8 until much later in the cycle and they can accept few people than Harvard so it's still a crapshoot for people like us (I have similar numbers) but you definitely have a chance.

I think high 160s might have a shot? But I imagine it will be the same deal that evaluations and decisions on such applicants will be reserved for later on.

Thanks for the response jingo. Would a lack of California ties change your analysis?

I applied almost three weeks ago and still have no received my email containing my username and password to check the status of my application. Is that normal? What's the timeline for this thing?

That's actually an unusually long wait for Stanford. You might want to call them if you haven't received it by the 3 week mark. I assume you've checked your spam?

I got mine next day, although that was back in October. You're sure it didn't get filtered out by spam? If you've checked that, it may be to the point where its appropriate to call/email and ask... has anyone else had to do so?

I check my spam regularly. I agree, I think it might be time to call.
Has this happened to anyone else?

So, just looking at the charts on the front page, looks like no news is good news for the month of February?

Stanford is normally really quick with this. Just call/email them to make sure, can't hurt

Historically, I believe some Dec/Jan submitters have received good news in February. But if you applied before mid-November, the only news you're likely to hear this month is the negative sort.

Any info anyone can give you is based primarily off mylsn.info and the school's published 25/50/75 cutoffs.

Play around here:
http://mylsn.info/dispresults.php

It's the best anyone can do.

But I would say the odds are not in your favor. I would guess a good portion of those <3.8 GPAs are URM.

lol, me too. I'm thinking of starting a change.org petition to ban unsolicited communications from Samford on grounds of public health. My poor heart can't take anymore of this, especially now that we've entered the month where waitlist and rejections start going out.
