You might been hurt, Faye,
That ain't no lie.
You've seen 'em all come and go (oohh woaah).
I remember you told me,
that it made you believe in no man, no cry.
Maybe that's why...
Every little thing I do,
never seems enough for you.
You don't want to lose it again,
but I'm not like them.
Stanford when you finally
do admit somebody,
guess what:
It's gonna be me.

I have called the office twice to get the DLS news and each time no one is there... am I calling the wrong number?

DLS sometime in the past day, just called and turns out its a WL! Was sort of hoping I'd make it the full seven months since my complete date (9/30), but alas...
Not planning on sticking with the WL, so happy to have an official end to my cycle!

Hmmm...starting to think the majority of those remaining are going to be getting dinged. Seems like they have put together a pretty sizable wait list already...

I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment. Last year there were waitlists up until April 30, and then a swath of rejections on April 30th.lastsamurai wrote:Hmmm...starting to think the majority of those remaining are going to be getting dinged. If you're still holding on, I'd say it's not a great sign.

yup, the time when you wanted to remain under review instead of going DLS is rapidly passing.barrelofmonkeys wrote:I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment. don't know if hearing earlier about being put on wait list signals higher position, but would consider that a positive signal as well.

I dunno, they accepted someone yesterday, unless they're positive that they're done with admits they may still be holding strong candidates.EquallyWrong wrote:yup, the time when you wanted to remain under review instead of going DLS is rapidly passing.barrelofmonkeys wrote:I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment. And between today's date and the 30th last year, there were 38 waitlists out of a total of 90 reported for the cycle. I think there will be many more waitlists before the week is over.Chalupa-Batman wrote:I dunno, they accepted someone yesterday, unless they're positive that they're done with admits they may still be holding strong candidates.EquallyWrong wrote:yup, the time when you wanted to remain under review instead of going DLS is rapidly passing.barrelofmonkeys wrote:I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment. As a September applicant, I am not going to handle it well if I get straight up rejected at this point.lastsamurai wrote:Hmmm...starting to think the majority of those remaining are going to be getting dinged. Seems like they have put together a pretty sizable wait list already...

You being waitlisted is clearly egregious yield protection on Faye's part .oxie wrote:DLS sometime in the past day, just called and turns out its a WL! Was sort of hoping I'd make it the full seven months since my complete date (9/30), but alas...

Thanks, koala & nonconsecutive! Haven't made an official decision yet, but pretty sure it's going to be YLS. As a side note, YLS sent out snuggies to admits this year, which I think may even top the famous SLS moleskines in terms of admissions swag!
Condolences to my fellow DLS'ers and good luck to everyone who's still waiting!
