I blame Stanford, they teased us with early admissions and then left us flat all of last week.applelover wrote:This thread was all the way on page two. Where'd the activity go.
Here's to phone calls going out at some point this week.

Lol tis true. I wonder if their thanksgiving dinners put them in such a good mood that they'll make calls tonight.The-Specs wrote:I blame Stanford, they teased us with early admissions and then left us flat all of last week.applelover wrote:This thread was all the way on page two. Any GSB MBA or dual degree applicants?
Is it ok to put SLS acceptance on resume?
Any thoughts?

Any guesses when the next batch of admissions might come? I am guessing the 9th, but hopefully earlier.

What, just because that's a week from today? I might be more inclined to say Friday the 6th, if we're speculating wildly.hcrimson2014 wrote:Any guesses when the next batch of admissions might come? I am guessing the 9th, but hopefully earlier.
Not that I have an issue with speculating wildly, I mean, that's kind of the nature of TLS.

Just a random gut feeling that it might come on the 9th, no real reason.applelover wrote:yea why the 9th?hcrimson2014 wrote:Any guesses when the next batch of admissions might come? I am guessing the 9th, but hopefully earlier.

Dean Deal, is that you? Nice, no one would ever suspect you with an alias like that.hcrimson2014 wrote: Just a random gut feeling that it might come on the 9th, no real reason.

1. I kind of hate you. (jk, congrats)crazyrobin wrote:Any GSB MBA or dual degree applicants?

2. I'm waiting on my MBA apps to HBS, S GSB, C GSB - just in case I get accepted by the end of this calendar year, so that I can specifically put that acceptance into my application.
3. My JS1 told me to make sure I tell HBS or HLS if I got into one or the other so that they would know. I'm extrapolating that to other schools as well.

I'm considering doing a dual degree but not a MBA. I figure you can put it on your resume but it does seem a little weird to me. I think they will already know you're in at SLS if you're applying for a dual degree, no?crazyrobin wrote:Any GSB MBA or dual degree applicants?

Anyway it seems like SLS makes dual degrees really doable, so I'm considering doing a M.A. in East Asian studies. Keep us updated on how your process goes and I'll do the same.

Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
Everyone in admissions that I have spoken to, across all schools I am applying to, has said that "the left hand does not really talk to the right." So I operate assuming that the only way they'll know to check if I have already been admitted to one is if I tell them I have.Noodlebrain wrote:I'm considering doing a dual degree but not a MBA. I would put it.
It lets them know you're in at SLS (which can help in admissions to other programs) and I don't think it seems weird since it's relevant and it would be obvious why you did it.

Resume seems like a weird place to put it. Do MBA apps allow addenda? It seems like a 1-2 sentence addendum would be more appropriate than a line on a resume, but I don't really know.drawstring wrote:I would put it.

Went complete today, checking in!
Have slim hopes for this one, esp. since they're so GPA-heavy, but one can hope
