Can you basically withdraw from a school anytime between now and orientation?
I am asking because if you get into a school via the wait list, can I put a deposit down at this school but still wait to see if I get off the wait list for my other schools and then potentially withdraw from this one?

Yes, you are always allowed to withdraw your seat from a school if you get in from the waitlist at another school. No school can tell you to withdraw from any wait lists.
