It'd be three! But now I see that it's just you and I discussing this, so I should just make up my mind haha.

Grats to new JS1s. Fits with the theory that they are interviewing a big portion of the WL.

Awesome! At least you'll have the chance to show off some of that personality.

It's almost certain that the waitlist is not closed yet for this year.Longtimelurk wrote:Some numbers:
-28 reported acceptances off the waitlist last year
-80 reported waitlisters this year
If we assume last year there was a similar sized waitlist (is there a way we can know?) we can expect somewhere around 28/80 to get in this year?
~35% shot of getting in off waitlist.
Does that seem reasonable?

basically will another update read needy/desperate/creepy or not? my gut feeling is to wait till next month.

Also, my editor says there were 80 WL--->WL applicants who never updated their profiles to Admit or Deny. I think it's reasonable to assume most of these were deny, but it's probably useful to show the number in the OP.

What's WL--->WL? For which cycle?

I just mean the mylsn waitlists who are not "2011-2012 Waitlist->Accepts" or "2011-2012 Waitlist->Rejects". You have those data, and the acceptance rate from every other year, but not the 2011-2012 acceptance rate.
Unless I just don't see it!

Oh I see. I'll add. Let me know if what I put down is erroneous or inaccurate.
I think mylsn doesn't catch some users because some don't put in their GPA. I manually counted and the total WLs is actually 131, not 80. Means my totals for the other cycles might be off.
Added "2011-2012: 28 Accept. Total WL: 131. Acceptance Rate: 21.4%" to the OP

I think (I suppose I should know, shouldn't I?) that you can include people who don't enter a GPA by including "0" in the range. Same thing with LSAT - so that gives 84 people:
However, the WL number does not include those who later reported a final decision of either accept or deny - so that would account for the other missing people.
