This may be me trying to comfort myself, but I feel like they're just trying to lock in the high side of their stats. URMs and sub-median people are probably fine for awhile. If I were H, I'd do it this way too (i.e. get the people I'll need to balance out before I take the people I'll need to balance them with).

You just became my favorite person of the day.

And, i don't know about that, because some 169s got JS2s and they are below median.

Excuse me while I go vomit. I don't know what to do with myself.
OMG congrats! And now I'm much less nervous (at least for now) about not getting a JS1b / JS2 yet.

Indeed it look like they were getting folks with high numbers (GPA / LSAT or both) for now. I'm hoping turn for folks with less than stellar numbers is next.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those with below median LSAT had a very high GPA (so far)?

How high would you consider high? Like 4.0 or above?

Some people that I waited with got in today (though a couple have changed their avatar confusing me)!!!! Really happy for you guys.

For those that JS1b'ed today know that as a pessimistic outside observer your trend seems spot on. I'll say a prayer for you just in case.

To the rest of you keep the faith. I can't imagine still waiting and yet I can.

So is it safe to say that the bulk of WL-JS1 action is over?

This isn't a fun fear to confirm, but we probably won't see a wave like this again. It'll be a trickle.

Great work on this blog everyone. I've been following it for some time and my anxiety is at epic proportions now. This is my first post. I hope we all hear the good news today.

But no softs with lower numbers/urms yet right? And have we established if it is going generally by interview date?

I believe we saw two 169 /4.xx admits yesterday. No URM reported yet (which makes me wary to say that this wave is it.. usually there is urm movement (in addition, HLS clearly wanted some non-urm hispanics judging by the google doc and they haven't admitted any yet on TLS)).

Looks like a lot of people from the 4/5 batch of js1's but there are also the later dates as well.

Tell me about it. I only slept for six hours and I don't even have anything to do this morning. Bah Harvard Admissions. Waiting isn't good for our health!

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. The 169/4.0+s still have high numbers though (high GPA), and it looks like there are more admits from earlier interview dates than later so they might be going in order to a certain extent.

If I were H, I'd do it this way too (i.e. get the people I'll need to protect the medians before I take the people below them who I want).

edited for clarity
This is sound reasoning. Stay patient tx, I think URMs are definitely still in the game.

I'm right with you on the anxiety front. I've been trying to keep myself busy to pass the time, but I've been too productive and have run out of things to do (I even cleaned the whole house!)! This is going to be a loooong day.

Good luck to everyone!

Is there a new diagnosis in the DSM V for refreshing a webpage sixty times an hour?

I'm telling you - let it go to voice mail so you can listen to it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over :D
