I concur with this.WonkaTots wrote:However, based on the information available on how waitlists work, I don't think it'd make a difference to retake unless the end product is an amazing/scholarship-worthy score.

Does Texas have a second deposit deadline? I can't seem to find any info on it, if it exists.

Just got accepted from the Waitlist. Was told I have 3 weeks to decide, so that might be your second wave of waitlist-accepts.

Welp. Thanks for telling us the wait-list was "activated," UT.skprowler wrote:Just got accepted from the Waitlist. Was told I have 3 weeks to decide, so that might be your second wave of waitlist-accepts.
Are you taking their offer? Three weeks is an incredible amount of time to decide.

Count me in too. In my LOCI I kind of eluded to that. So far I'm counting a couple of people being pulled off the waitlist. Good luck to both of you, I'm rooting for all of us.JXander wrote:C'mon, UT. Willing to pay sticker here.

Anyone who gets admitted off the WL should submit competing offers for scholarship negotiations. I was admitted off the WL 2 years ago and then received a scholly after telling them about an offer from WUSTL (not really a peer school). Best of luck to all.

When is the majority of the waitlist activated? Beginning of summer or end of summer?

Had scheduled the tour and class visit, but unexpectedly had to cancel both. Went back to reschedule and seems that has ended for the year.

Re: Waitlisted at TEXAS c/o 2016
That's good to know!!! WUSTL has thrown a good bit of money at me and it's my likely choice unless someone else lets me in off the waitlist. UT rejected me initially, but I was recently granted a decision appeal and waitlisted! So I'm still holding out with my fingers crossed! Getting some money from my WUSTL scholarship would make it even better...crit_racer wrote:Anyone who gets admitted off the WL should submit competing offers for scholarship negotiations. According to LSN, a reverse splitter/URM was accepted off the WL yesterday.
UT is certainly taking its time with the WL movement.

Re: Waitlisted at TEXAS c/o 2016
TLS and LSN only capture a fraction of what's going on --- this was validated in the Fordham waitlist thread. UT may have already extended acceptances to several candidates on the waitlist. I hope more are extended post June 5 though.JXander wrote:According to LSN, a reverse splitter/URM was accepted off the WL yesterday.
