FIU c/o 2016 wait listed?

Has anyone been waitlisted to FIU? Been on that list since Dec. 26th and nothing!! I applied part time with 152/3.0 not the best, but better than my prior score.
Is it possible to pay a seat deposit somewhere else, to then withdraw if I do get accepted to FIU later on? (Hopeful thinking) :/
