Would you be willing to share what you believe got you into Chicago? You don't have to be specific if you don't want, but if you could at least give a vague reply (great story in PS) I'd appreciate it. My numbers are similar, so I'm interested.

Of course. I don't think it was one thing in particular. I used the PS as an opportunity to craft a story out of accomplishments on my resume (connecting the dots) and spent a lot of time revising into make sure the language worked well. But I think the most important thing is to just be genuine in what you are saying. That way, if you get a chance to interview, you can be passionate about your answers as you paint a more detailed picture of what you already said in your application. Interviewing is definitely what tipped me over from a WL to accept (every school where I couldn't interview placed me on WL, everywhere I interviewed, I was accepted).

best of luck to ya!

At the beginning of this cycle, i got into a huge debate with some posters about what constitutes a reverse splitter. In the end, I think we agreed whomever considers themselves to be reverse splitting should be welcome here and I have followed your stories the last few months with great interest.

I considered my LSAT to be the GIANT question mark at the schools I was targeting as my GPA and work experience was very solid, so I wanted to share my results and provide some sunlight for future three time lsat takers, reverse splitters etc. At the schools at which I faced resistance (ie rejection, hold, etc.) i am fairly confident it was LSAT record-related.

Cancel - 167 - 171, 4.0, Non-URM

Yale - Rejected
Cornell - Withdrew while pending
Rest of T14 - Accepted, with significant $$$ below CCN.

Attending Harvard, deferring for a year - will be class of 2017.
