That's awesome that you got into Michigan. Did you have an upward GPA trend or anything? When did you submit your apps?

Ever so slightly -- the underwhelming GPA stems mostly from a poorly chosen original major track in college. Luckily, I figured that out by the end of my sophomore year. Unluckily, it was already the end of my sophomore year. In addition, I think some of my softs and WE were particularly beneficial. Furthermore, I spent a long time putting together my reasons/motivations for attending law school into a cohesive, clear narrative. Subsequently, I explained how that would be achieved at each school I applied to, and the ways in which I would contribute to each program.

I feel pretty damn fortunate and humbled to be in the schools I've gotten into so far -- I couldn't be more thrilled.

I'll edit the post above with application dates.

Technically that's a splitter at HYSC. Technically.

In no way does he belong here. Those of us true splitters do not need to see further posts of his successful apps. Go elsewhere, sir.

I only thought about those places b/c I noticed that some of y'all w/ similar stats go into some of those places, and I didn't really consider them :? Do any of y'all think it's worth it??? I've sent in a bunch of apps, like, until the LSAC started charging me for the CAS reports  I've fee waivers for pretty much everywhere through the LSAC, but they still charge for CAS reports..

Did you expect this process to be free? I applied to 18 schools, spent $1200 and I had 5-6 fee waivers. Shrug.

Lol at worrying about spending $ while giving yourself fewer opportunities for scholarship $$$$ on your way to spending $$$$$$ to go to lawl school.

K, I realize I'm being a stingy betch, but w/e, $21/CAS report is a lotta monay!!!

ALSO! I'd like some answers to my other questions about the odds of getting into some T20's or T14's if I apply this l8 in the game...heheheheh:)

By all means, apply now, but plan to apply again in the fall too for better chances. You'd be surprised how long it takes for applications to process once you submit them. I submitted my applications 1/7-1/9 and most of them just went complete this week - 3 of them still aren't complete. If you submitted now, your apps wouldn't get looked at till February, except at some of your safeties. It's well established (read the dean's interviews on this site) that schools have given out the vast majority of their acceptances by February and your chances are way lower if you apply so late.

Having a weird cycle.

175-179
3.2-3.4
Ended up at a top undergrad with an impressive major, but winding path including a transfer. Over 3.7 since taking a break from school a few years ago.

In at Brooklyn
In at Hastings
In at UCI (30k/year)

Held at GTown
Held at Penn
WL at UW

Waiting on about 15 others. Submitted everywhere in November. The long wait has me expecting a ton of waitlists. I'm under the 25th percentile GPA at most of the schools on my list, but I'm so far above the 75th for LSAT, so it's hard to know what's coming.

You should be near an auto-admit at Georgetown, especially with your relatively early application.... Any C&F issues?

Is that Loyola LA? When did you submit and when did you hear back? We have similar numbers. I applied in earlier November and haven't heard back. :-/ Congrats on your acceptances btw, esp. GWU!

LSN? I'm in a similar situation with a worse LSAT.
