i'm in the same boat as you. i think i'll probably accept, especially if my scholarship is 1/3-1/4 tuition. but then again acceptances to michigan, virginia, gulc, or cornell might change my mind.

Got my acceptance letter and scholarship offer in the mail a couple days ago. The letter was partially personalized, referencing a few elements of my personal statement. It was a nice touch.

Congrats, buddytyler.

Do you mind if I ask how much was the scholarship offer?

Would you mind PM-ing me your offer, as well? Dean Hernandez told me I'd be receiving a "significant" scholarship when I met with him on Tuesday, but I haven't received anything yet in the mail.

How long from the acceptance did you all receive the letter? I had my interview last Monday and am still waiting on the letter - I literally live down the road and thought it would have arrived by now.

Just now stumbled on this thread. Good to see BYU being represented. Had an interview and was accepted with 1/2 scholarship (top 1/3 stipulation for maintaining all of the scholarship in subsequent years). I dont know what my index score was but I'm sitting at 3.19/170. I am withdrawing my application due to landing my ED application. That should open up an extra spot None the less I will definitely be joining the J Ruben Clark Law Society at my school. Gotta make use of that Mormon Network 8) .

congrats on penn (assuming from your profile?) and the 170. how long after your interview did it take for you to get the scholarship letter?

i interviewed around 10 days ago and i don't think my letter has even been sent, judging by the status checker mailings.

Congrats! Seriously jealous of the 170.

I'm likely withdrawing too because I'm going to re-take the LSAT for scholarship. Scored way below my average on the Dec LSAT and can't justify attending at sticker with a 3.9x GPA, knowing I can do better on the LSAT.

It was a couple of weeks. I wouldn't start worrying about it until more than a month after acceptance has been extended.

Yeah dont waste that GPA. Do whatever it takes to break 170 and you should have scholly options in the T14. even 168-169 would get you in at a few T14.

Would love to attend T14 but I own my home in Provo and husband has very stable job that we can't justify leaving. So BYU it is! :)

I'm also still waiting for my scholarship letter. I imagine you'll get yours before I receive mine, so you'll have to give me a heads up when you get it. But congrats to everyone for the acceptances so far!

Edit: Removed link to admitted students Facebook page. Don't want them to get add requests from Utes or anything.

I just got the email this week to set up an interview. For those of you who did it in person what did you wear? What did the other people wear taht were being interviewed? And what Dean Hernandez? Is it expected that I show up in a suit or would that be over-doing it and business casual was more of the norm?

I wore a skirt and blouse. Dean Hernandez wore a suit. No one else was around when I interviewed so I can't compare.

Just got an email to set up an interview with Dean Hernandez as well. Looks like good news, after reading your experiences. The future is looking bright!

As far as dress goes, I'll probably be doing a suit. I'd rather overdress than underdress. But maybe that's just me.

packet came in the mail today. got a pen, letter of intent, writeup by bkp on j reuben clark, but my favorite part was the packet of courses offered. it actually feels real when you see course and section numbers on paper.

is anybody thinking about pursuing a joint degree? i'm strongly considering taking the gmat in the next couple of weeks in order to apply to the macc program as well.

Congrats (presumably)! I wore a suit, too, and didn't feel overdressed at all.

Anyone have any input on this:

I've heard of a couple people saying they got half scholarships, and with their UGPA/LSAT, their index score works out to around 230 (though they have a really high lsat). My index is slightly higher than that, but there was no mention of a scholarship in the acceptance letter I received over the weekend.

Last week I emailed GaeLynn and asked if scholarship was based purely off the index, regardless of how high/low the LSAT score is, and she confirmed that yes, any two people with the same index would have the same chance for scholarship, regardless of whether one had a higher LSAT.

Do scholarship offers always come with the acceptance letter? Don't get me wrong, the tuition is already super cheap, and I'm not complaining. But I sure wouldn't mind a scholly in addition to cheap tuition.
