It can take several days for the credentials to work, but if you can generate them, you are in. You haven't been admitted, you'll get an error when you try to create them.

Held in January, received acceptance letter in the mail today postmarked 2/8. Sooooooo shocked and excited!!

I got an email today about being in a "select group" on the preferred waitlist and was given an admissions officer to communicate with and told to email them immediately about my interest in Georgetown and intent (or not) to stay on the list. Did other people get anything like this?

I got the same; I think this is tier 1 WL.

There are supposed three groups...

Getting more and more nervous as the date approaches. I was held 1/21 and submitted an optional essay last Thursday.

My heart says yes but my brain says no, hahah. On LSN, I've seen a couple people log acceptances on a friday though. My only hope right now is that submitting that essay means my decision might come later.

The wording of the email was quite transparent. Pretty much "don't get your hopes up and hold on tight"

Got the letter today!! My app was originally held in January with a promise of a final decision no later than Feb. 26. No update on the status checker and no other communications. So unexpected and so excited!!! Everyone check your mailboxes!!
