Anyone going to the kickin' Open House tomorrow? I'm going to that and then checking out DePaul and maybe Loyola afterwards.

In via e-mail. Complete 1/3, in review 1/14, accepted 1/25 with $23,000 per year, no stipulations.

Ahh congrats! Driving myself insane waiting and hoping they'll turn my app around in under 9 days. Numbers, out of curiosity?

I was accepted 1/11 and still haven't received mine. Hoping early next week though.

Oh okay. I am from the west coast so I'll probably get mine later. I'm just excited.

I had to work Saturday, what did you think about Kent? How did the OpenHouse go overall?

I like Kent a lot, especially the library. I also did a self-guided tour of DePaul and John Marshall, didn't like those two schools as much. Wanted to tour Loyola but never got a chance. Open House was overall a good experience, will probably attend Kent over SLU depending on cash.

I applied about a week ago. Good luck!!

Thanks, you too! How long was your essay? They say 'brief,' but I'm not quite sure what that means. As of now mine is about a page single-spaced, but not finished...

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one pushing the deadline. Mine ended up 2 pages double space, 12pt.

I ended up submitting nothing additional for the Honors statement; just a short cover letter expressing my interest and referring them to my existing personal statement. I felt like less was more since my PS basically answered the questions they were getting at for the Honors program.

The Honors Scholars app requires a letter of rec. Anyone know if that's in addition to the letters already attached to your original application? I'm assuming my existing letters of rec cover me for the Honors Scholars app.

The recs included in your original app are enough.

Haha, I didn't finish until about an hour ago! Mine ended up being 1.5 pages, single spaced. Ugh, too long I think. Oh well!

How faux pas would it be to submit an application for the Honors Program with a 164?

I don't think they'd rescind your acceptance or anything...

I say go for it. Worst thing that happens is you don't get the scholarship.
