Disappointed for sure, but not end of world. From Boulder so hoping to have it as an option. Still trying to decide between Law school and applied statistics grad school and have other good offers but was hoping for this one. Hopefully you guys hear back soon then, I assume it has taken so long as they are trying to figure out where to draw the line between acceptances and waitlists with small cycle.

Any idea of scholly money and when it will come out. applied because my folks moved to CO last year. Loved Boulder but it is to the left of Berkley..... a little to left for my taste.

Right now, I think most of us are still waiting on decisions. My status date hasn't even changed from 11/20 yet.uconjak wrote:Any idea of scholly money and when it will come out. applied because my folks moved to CO last year. Their site says they start making scholly decisions sometime in late January (which is now, I guess). I'd send the link but it's kinda buried and I don't remember exactly where it is at the moment.uconjak wrote:Any idea of scholly money and when it will come out. applied because my folks moved to CO last year. As for Boulder's political bent, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The whole Denver-Boulder area caters to pretty much any political persuasion, and my Bush-voting friend from Alabama seems to love Boulder as much or more than anyone else. You should, however, be prepared for a lot of outdoor activity one-upsmanship (e.g. "Oh, you and your friends went on a float trip last summer? Sounds a lot like the time I did a solo kayak of the Yukon and wrestled a bear.")

That's Boulder's idea of one-upsmanship? Last summer I traveled to Alaska, where I documented the migratory patterns of Alaskan salmon by swimming alongside/behind them. After I did that I found myself on the eastern shores of Russia where I helped an old Russian fisherman produce his own vodka. It was quite a summer.cslouisck wrote:Their site says they start making scholly decisions sometime in late January (which is now, I guess). +1 or the time "I sucked the poison out of the snake bite on that super model's leg in Australia and then three days later started my climb of Everest. Even though the ice particles traveling at the speed of sound blinded me in one eye and I broke my hand in a pick ax accident I was still the fastest person to ever summit the mountain wearing only five fingers."

Though clearing my car of snow at 6am this morning reminded me why I sometimes dislike living here.
Still under review, 11/20.

Any movement? I have been under review since 12/13. I feel the need to call them and try to explain in intimate detail why I would be great for them.

UR since 1/4. Looks like the November people are starting to get decisions. I'm guessing I'll hear back by the end of February or so...

Received a scholarship email last night. Full OOS tuition award for the first year and $12,000 per year after that, with the opportunity to apply for additional scholarships during the springs of 1L and 2L. Stats in profile.
