Visiting on Thursday, any suggestions from Boulder residents/people familiar with the area on things not to miss?

I mentioned this earlier this this thread, but while I'm not sure what your car situation is like, you should definitely try to make it down to Denver. (There's a bus that will take you from downtown Boulder to downtown Denver about 45 minutes, too.) Also make sure you check out Pearl St. and not just The Hill--the latter is the undergrad hangout near campus. And of course, if you have the time/inclination, you should do something mountain-y like drive up to Ned, err... Nederland, and ski Eldora, or at the very least wander around Chautauqua Park.

And if you have parents or a sugar momma with you, eat at The Kitchen.

The biggest difference to note is you can extern with private firms at DU. CU does not allow this.

I'd add that, in case you find yourself wandering around Boulder saying to yourself, "great setting, but this town is terrible" (which is definitely a minority opinion), drive on over to Louisville/Superior, or up to Gunbarrel, or some other nearby community. I absolutely love Boulder County, but I really dislike Boulder itself and probably would not have been as enthusiastic about going to CU if I hadn't driven seven minutes down 36 to check out Louisville during my visit.

It was in the past year or so. I'm not sure on the exact date. Moss pushed it through because he believes that universities are liable under the FLSA (and that these externships are an FLSA violation). He's publishing a paper and thinks he can blackmail DU into agreeing or something.

That's built-in on the scholarship award. Like when you get the letter it's listed as 12/4/4 or whatever the amounts are now. Now, the difference is not 8k, so even with in-state you end up paying more those second and third years. The plus side of this is that if you drop out, you lost the least amount. The riskiest year costs you the least. The other thing is there's a lot of random scholarships to apply to for 2L and 3L, and you can work then.

I was under review from 1/18 and accepted on 3/22, my #'s are in my post above. I sent them a 3rd LOR on 3/19, and I am inclined to believe that is what gave them the motivation to make a decision. I'll obviously never know for sure, but I just thought I'd share that for those still awaiting a response. So if you've got another letter you could send them, I say send it now.

Then under current status its back in review starting 3/30/13

I am a philosophy major (3.85 gpa in major), was a TA, research assistant, on the student conduct board, and have worked at two law firms. Unfortunetly, when studying for the LSAT I was also dealing with some medical issues. I have included an LSAT score addendum with my admissions application. Does anyone think I have a chance of getting in? Any advice?

I've also appled to Denver but have not heard back from them yet.

Please, retake. An addendum won't mean much, because adcomms are just going to wonder why you didn't take it again--they'll assume you're either impatient or lazy. With a 3.5 and URM you can get into some amazing schools if you bust ass on the LSAT. For reference, here's what you're looking at now (not a ton of data, but you get the idea): http://www.mylsn.info/r5fnz4 . You might get a few hail mary acceptances, but by and large you're out anywhere in the T50, and hit and miss even below that--and you'll likely pay full price anywhere you get in. Now, if you retake to the mid-160s you're looking at this: http://www.mylsn.info/x23byl . Gives you a shot at everything below HYS.

Don't cripple yourself by going somewhere that'll take a 149. Study, retake, profit.

How would retaking the LSAT again help now? I'm planning on begining law school this fall. Wouldn't it be to late to recieve scholorships or even acceptances if I take it again in June?

Unless you are filthy rich and costs are of no concern, do not go to law school next year and re-take your LSAT. Going to CU or DU with a 149 is stupid. You are a URM-- low 160s or even mid 150's might get you into CU with a full-ride. Just work next year. Take time to work on your LSAT and applications. Law school will still be around in 2015.
