Hey ya'll
It was this afternoon around 12:30 via call from Dean Rahman. I was accepted in November but I was told I should expect $20,000 so it was kind of disappointing to get less. I will probably try to ask for more-but I can't afford $21,000/year in just tuition.
My numbers are 3.2/162 great softs

They seem to be very LSAT sensitive. I've seen a few people with a score of 162 and 3ish GPA receive money.bburn008 wrote:Hey ya'll

Thought my 3.66 GPA and 161 would at least see the same offer as the 162 3.0.
Ether way it doesn't look like I will receive enough money to make it worthwhile.

Almost the exact same numbers, same offer this afternoon. I'm definitely a diversity candidate though. I'm pleased, honestly, considering the only stip is good academic standing.bburn008 wrote:Hey ya'll

Yeah I'm not happy. Getting the run around as far as when I'm suppose to get this money, on top of the absurd amount of mail I get from them has really put me off. This was suppose to be a safety school for me now I doubt even a full ride would have me consider going there.Carter N wrote:I want some moneyyyyy

To add insult to injury I don't even know if they offer full rides. The John Marshall scholarship isn't even full ride.wannabelawstudent wrote:Yeah I'm not happy. No offense to all you people upset about money. But stop threatening to withdraw. Either do it, or go talk to Dean Rahman. There are people like me here, who just want a spot. And frankly I'm tired of reading about how upset you guys are. Be pro-active and talk to the Dean, and tell her what your bottom line is to make Richmond a reality or JUST WITHDRAW.

For anyone still waiting to hear from the admissions office. I was told all decisions would be finalized by April 1st.

Had anyone been dinged yet, or do they plan on taking all of us out in one fell swoop?

they don't have a full ride. even the john marshall scholars have to pay at least $8,000 in tuition and maybe more if tuition goes up.

Does anyone have an idea if U of R has started denying/waitlisting people?

Re: University of Richmond c/o 2016
I received my wait list letter today. It says, "I am pleased to inform you that the Admissions Committee has place you on a very special Priority Waiting List for the Class of 2016." and at the bottom it says "we are fairly optimistic about being able to admit you from our special Priority Waiting List."
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
