I am from east Texas so this is the best school for my family. Also my stepdad went to law school here and my mom graduated from the undergrad. I will be graduating from LSU-Shreveport this may. I am getting more and more excited everyday. I sent a request to the Facebook page as well.
Great! Geaux Tigers!

I got a very nice email the other day from a 2L ambassador stating that if I had any questions I was free to email him. If you'd like I can pm you his email address.

I got a over half price scholarship from Loyola. Do you think this consitutes grounds for negotiation?

I got the same offer from Loyola and it was alot more than my offer from LSU. If you ask for an increase from LSU, be careful how you word it because Loyola is significantly more expensive. The admissions office at LSU responded to my request by pointing out that it is still cheaper for me to attend LSU, even with the smaller scholarship offer.

I got 25,000k/year from Loyola and only 9k/year from LSU. Also just got my acceptance to UKentucky, no word on scholly info yet though.
For me that means I'll be paying around 17k in tuition for Loyola as opposed to 24k for LSU. I didn't mention that in my email though. If they have some concerns, I'll sticky other offers and acceptances but I hope they can give me the bump or else I might have to take the cheaper option.
If LSU waives out of state and gives 25% off resident tuition, I'll be on board with my fellow tigers.

Absolutely! This may be a dumb question but what kind of attire would be appropriate for the scholarship dinner? I'm betting on something business casual-esque? Anyone have any idea?

Ha! Dumb??? Yea right!!! I've been wondering this for the past two days. So lame that the invitation doesn't say... I was thinking cocktail nice attire... But I feel like that would be indicated on the invite.. So maybe business casual? I'm going to find out from my friend who is also attending as a current 3L. Let you know what I find out.

I checked out some of the pictures from past award dinners and it looks like the attire is business casual.

We need to find current LSU law students are not affiliated with the university. The ambassador just gave vague answers that were pretty worthless. I'd like some realistic info. Does anyone know someone who is a 2L/3L at LSU currently who can give me straight answers?

Just sent a bunch of LOCIs to Houston, Tulane, Bama, Texas Tech, SMU, and Wake Forest.
Hopefully I see a lot of movement next week. The seat deposit deadline is coming up.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
