In via status checker. Complete since 12/14. It's weird because the status checker says I was accepted 12/18 and that an e-mail was sent, but I've checked the status since then and it hadn't changed until today, nor have I received an acceptance e-mail. Maybe it's just a typo and they meant 1/18, not 12/18.

does anyone know why this would be, especially for people who apply Sept, Oct, Nov? I always thought the sooner you apply the sooner you'll get a decision...
It is still a really "young" law school and they probably have to make a lot of new, lasting administrative decisions before the acceptance of an incoming class and before they decide what they want their numbers to looks like (including scholarship choices)

For anyone who might be wondering about negotiating the stipulation: I spoke on the phone with an admissions person recently who informed me that they do not review it on a case-by-case basis. It's a standard set by the faculty and is non-negotiable.

Has anyone else signed up to go to the Admitted Students day on March 9th? I just signed up for it and was invited to some scholarship banquet on March 8th at city hall, does anyone know what that is about? I am thinking about going but just wanted to see if anyone else is going and/or has information on it.

Thanks!

Application received and file complete in November and again today 2/8. It seems that some people have different experiences, but does anyone know if there are a certain number of date changes before the decision is rendered?

Some people go complete just once before a decision is rendered so I don't think this is good haha

Thanks!

Mine went complete only once. November is really early though - most schools don't send decisions out that early even if they receive complete applications so I wouldn't assume anything terrible.

chipshoote wrote:I don't want this message to come off as if I am ungrateful or not thankful for the scholarship that Drexel has offered me (half ride), but do you think it would be possible to negotiate a bigger scholarship? I was just recently admitted to Baylor with $27,000 ($9,000/yr) and they are ranked much higher, with much better job prospects. However, I know that is in a total different area of the country and I don't even know if I could consider that leverage. I just have a tough time taking out a huge loan and am very worried about job prospects out of school. I would LOVE to practice in Philly, as that is where I am from, but I have also lived in Texas and don't mind it there either. My LSAT is a 155, and LSDAS GPA is a ~3.77. What do you guys think?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks everyone.
While you do have some leverage, the fact is that it never ever hurts to ask. They won't retract the offer they've given you, so you may as well try. Worst case scenario, you get 50% off or a bigger scholarship elsewhere.

So what I have to say may not be what you want to hear. I submitted my applications (10 of them) right after I took the Oct LSAT, and many, if not all, were complete and under review at some point in November. At this point in time, I have received 2 acceptances, 2 WL, and 2 rejections. I am waiting on 4 decisions. The acceptances came pretty quickly with both WL decisions coming in the middle and the 2 rejections being the most recent. Based off this timeline, I've basically told myself that for the 4 schools who still need to provide decisions, I'm either being WL or rejected. Any acceptances would have probably come already because schools are preparing for admitted students days and events which are around the corner. I know that I could be wrong, but that's just my take on things. The exception would only be for applicants who have just submitted their applications (but then again there are less seats to fill so spots are more competitive at this point).

I'm hoping I'm wrong, believe me, because my top choice school has not provided me with a decision yet. Crossing my fingers...

Christinf - thanks for your input. I can't imagine it's a good sign that it's happened but fingers crossed as well. I applied about 2 weeks ago so it hasn't been that long, but my application was fairly late in the cycle.
To be perfectly honest though I would be pretty surprised to not get in - above median for lsat/GPA and above 75 percentile for LSAT.

Anyway, who knows! Good luck with all of the ones you're waiting on!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
