The students at top law schools in general will lean left....When ppl say certain schools are "conservative" they're usually talking abt constitutional interpretation, not nexessarily about republican vs democrat.sublime12089 wrote:Browsing other discussions, particularly the Vandy one, does WUSTL have a political leaning generally? Anyone know? They are a private school in Missouri, but in one of the three liberal parts of it. And they seem to stress international law and public interest, both of which I would guess lean left. Anyone have any idea?
STL is moderate-liberal in general. It's the most liberal location in all of Missouri but obv it doesn't compare to the coasts.cusenation wrote:The students at top law schools in general will lean left....When ppl say certain schools are "conservative" they're usually talking abt constitutional interpretation, not nexessarily about republican vs democrat.sublime12089 wrote:Browsing other discussions, particularly the Vandy one, does WUSTL have a political leaning generally? As far as WUSTL specifically I'm not sure just cuz the Midwest as a region tends to be split. But a lot of students at WUSTL hail from the coasts, which might skew it liberal

+1alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Seriously, this whole thing about political leanings is ridiculous. Almost every metro over 1 million people leans left. If you're so crazy liberal that you can't stand the thought that some people go to church, enjoy Louis and Clark or Vermont. If you hate that some people like gay bars, enjoy Regent or George Mason. Otherwise, realize that law school is a professional school and make your decision based on employment prospects and how you like the school as an institution.
To be fair, no one said that they were going to base their decision off of political leaning. Don't think there's anything wrong with inquiring about itPresidentjlh wrote:+1alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Seriously, this whole thing about political leanings is ridiculous. By the time you graduate college, you should no longer give a crap about how liberal or conservative people around you are.
I know, just being that guy that says the obvious.cusenation wrote:To be fair, no one said that they were going to base their decision off of political leaning. As a conservative I can say with certainty we never have anything that would ever remotely be interesting even to conservatives.sublime12089 wrote: Not to mention, a city with similar leanings as you will be more likely to have events, concerts, etc, that you will be interested in.
I dunno man, Scott Brown's election rally was pretty fun...minus the whole losing part LOLPresidentjlh wrote:As a conservative I can say with certainty we never have anything that would ever remotely be interesting even to conservatives.sublime12089 wrote: Not to mention, a city with similar leanings as you will be more likely to have events, concerts, etc, that you will be interested in.
