WUSTL's opening offer is at 60k. Time to flex my negotiating muscles. It's like lawyer practice for contract negotiations.
WUSTL is seeming stingy this cycle with initial offers. That seems like a very solid offer relative to others ITT.
I didn't mean to imply that this was a bad offer, just that I'm going to do everything I can to minimize the cost of law school. I agree, that's a pretty solid initial offer considering my numbers.

As I was beginning to think I was going to get no scholarship, I re-read my admit letter this morning and it said I was to be considered for a Scholar In Law award.

Are there any splitters/R-splitters still waiting to hear something about $?

TLS updated its review about WUSTL.

Just from reading it through it looks like the new and/or updated sections (in order) are:
-Cost of Attendance
-Admissions metrics
-Early Action program
-Public Interest Support
-Geographic Placement (specifically about St. Louis placement)
-Private Practice
-Housing (?)
-Clerkships

Note:
The profile says that WUSTL hasn't posted employment info about classes after C/O 2010. But this was written in February, before WUSTL released its job placement data for 2010, 2011, and 2012 last week. Here's a link to that page: http://law.wustl.edu/career_services/pages.aspx?id=9620

Hmm. Hadn't seen this. It looks like, by the LST definition of "large firm" including firms with 100+ lawyers, WUSTL jumped from 17.7% to 23%. That brings it much more in line with UCLA and other schools I'm considering in that range. The plot thickens...

Yeah sometimes I forget that firms are sometimes added/excluded from the NLJ250 because they have/lack like...5 attorneys or something. It's literally just a list of the 250 (350 now?) biggest firms by headcount..nothing about stability, associate retention, or profitability.

Is it just me or TLS has not changed their posting time according to daylight savings? I'm still under PST but the posting time is incorrect.

You have to change it manually under board preferences on the control panel.

TLS seems to be on central time right now. It makes things line up for me.

I tried but didn't see an option. I'll try again...

EDIT: fixed. Thanks!! Here's proof that the WUSTL thread is your one stop shop for everything TLS. no need to visit any other thread or link on this site. It's all here.
I think TLS should create a special advertisement price for the thread and cash in

I'm pretty antsy to start making some decisions soon, but I didn't get a scholarship offer in these two rounds. Should I send an email to WUSTL asking for consideration or just wait this out a bit longer?

Wait. There are way too many people still waiting for them to have finished making offers already.

I haven't received mine yet either and when I called on Friday, they said they would be continuing to release offers this week. They're definitely not done yet.

Wait it out. They probably won't respond to your email because they are busy with the offers.

For what it's worth, I've been busy emailing some admissions offices this morning regarding merit aid/withdrawing/seat deposit deadlines and WUSTL was very prompt in getting right back to me... it's very nice when the admissions staff is accommodating in that way.
Some of the other schools I've been in contact with have been absolutely horrible in that regard -- really leaves me with a bad impression of those schools in comparison to WUSTL and the nicer ones.

Admissions is great at responding, but I was referring to Fin. Aid. I asked them when I might get notification of my award early last week and have yet to receive a response.

Yup. Agree to that. Received word that my LOCI was received at abut 930am CST after sending it in late last night.

I wrote about it in the past but I really wonder if admissions offices realize just how much future applicants evaluate them, the school itself and their decisions based on their interaction with their office. Sometimes I think they don't realize (or don't realize enough) how much influence they have in shaping the outlook of applicants on the school. I find it pretty daunting.

I can say that for me WashU and W&L were at the top in that regard, together with NU.

Just looking for some advice here:
I had my interview in December 2012. The Dean of Admissions said that she would recommend me for admittance, which I'll take with a grain of salt. What she did say though, was that I would hear my admissions decision by early February AT THE LATEST. Should I phone in and just ask about this?
Thanks
