Consider Amtrack from Chi to St Louis if you don't want to rent.

Apparently yeah. I tried this evening and the only option was the March ASD.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:You need to RSVP today, right?Crowing wrote:I'm suspecting it's the latter since WUSTL claims the ranking plunge is temporary due to their transparency.
I kinda want to go to ASD again this year to meet people for funsies since it's only like a 20 minute drive for me. I should probably try to not get day drunk again though.
And you should come. I'll be there
Email them! They probably still have tons of space.Crowing wrote:Apparently yeah. Really? I know WUSTL's does but I didn't realize that wasn't the norm.shntn wrote:Most ASWs don't allow guests.
Carry on with the FA bit.
WUSTL does.shntn wrote:Most ASWs don't allow guests.

You'd be surprised. Except...no.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:WUSTL does.shntn wrote:Most ASWs don't allow guests.

But LOL at someone with an SO being FA.
I think I got yelled at for this in the actual FA thread a while back because apparently it's weird that I consider FA to be a state of mind more than an actual relationship status or something like that.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:WUSTL does.shntn wrote:Most ASWs don't allow guests.

I mean, being in future-breakups is totally consistent with the FA life. Carry on.Crowing wrote:I think I got yelled at for this in the actual FA thread a while back because apparently it's weird that I consider FA to be a state of mind more than an actual relationship status or something like that.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:WUSTL does.shntn wrote:Most ASWs don't allow guests.

Allow me to dispel that myth.Crowing wrote:That diss makes me sad
Anyway are those of you going to ASD thinking about staying in town a little longer or leaving straight afterwards? It actually got stupidly warm today all of a sudden but who knows how long it'll last.
Are you freaking kidding me?! I'm going to die.shntn wrote:Allow me to dispel that myth.Crowing wrote:That diss makes me sad

That seems kind of crazy to me -- like flying to NY and driving to DC because tickets are cheaper. The cost of renting a car or taking a train down plus the 5 extra hours each directions wouldn't be worth it, I don't think.JesusChrist wrote:I'm debating whether or not I should book. I'm actually thinking of flying from CA to Chicago and driving to STL. Tickets would cost about half as much.
Where's everyone staying?
Car rental is 20$+gas and maybe it's a CA thing but driving is a non-issue for me. I actually would sorta look forward to it haha. I also have an interview at NU the following Monday.blueapple wrote:That seems kind of crazy to me -- like flying to NY and driving to DC because tickets are cheaper. I've done the Chicago/St. Louis drive several times.JesusChrist wrote:Car rental is 20$+gas and maybe it's a CA thing but driving is a non-issue for me. Maybe not for ASW purposes, given time constraints and it being the dead of winter, but that's not an awful drive at all.nba101790 wrote:It takes about 4.5 hours from downtown Chicago to WUSTL.
I'd say given his/her NU interview and the distinct possibility of ice (its going to be SO cold this week), I would consider the train or bus option from Chicago.Xs20 wrote:Just throwing it out there, if you can find a similarly priced flight to Bloomington (BMI), it would only be like a 2.5 hr drive to STL.
Holy shit, a low of 11º on Friday! Oops, didn't see that.
