inb4 scholarships aren't even out yet dude.
WUSTL has typically been the most generous of their peer schools so I couldn't find much on scholarship negotiations.
Well, if they don't give me more than Emory did, I will probably withdraw.
Emory's relationship to the T20 is kind of strange..it used to be a true peer school, but then their medians dropped, rankings dropped, reports of poor job placement and all that sort of made it the ugly duckling of the T20. It's sort of recovered rankings-wise but it's medians are still much lower than its previous peers.
But it basically becomes a "peer" school because it's not. Because it's not a peer school, Emory tries to play catch up by giving more scholly to boost its medians, which ultimately turns it into a peer school as far as scholly is concerned.
I'm almost positive that WUSTL's initial offers will not
match Emory schollies across all LSAT/GPA brackets. That doesn't mean they won't match later on if you negotiate..but there's no reason for WUSTL to match Emory as far as initial offers..they don't need to, their medians are higher and they traditionally enjoy a higher peer score.
Don't make the mistake of withdrawing too early! Unless you're unwilling to pay two deposits, you could potentially leverage WUSTL and Emory against each other and get the best deal you can, even if you end up going to Emory
