And CLS has VCE/NCE. We need something innovative like that.

Woah. WOAH. So a JS2 is literally just an acceptance phone call? Or is it a second round of interviews before an acceptance? If it's just an acceptance phone call, then Harvard Threads, I'm calling you out for being a bunch of idiots.shntn wrote:BUT, if you think about it, it makes a lot more sense to say JS1 and JS2 than to just say "interview" and "acceptance."alwayssunnyinfl wrote:omg that's fucking ridiculousshntn wrote:Yeah.alwayssunnyinfl wrote: So is JS the dean's initials?

Hate to crash this party with something boring and on topic, but I just got an email with a fee waiver and I need some advice. I was originally planning to apply to WUSTL this cylce and when I requested a fee waiver in November, they straight up told me no. Obviously the unsolicited waiver does not bode well for their application numbers, but my instinct is that if they told me no the first time I probably don't have much of a chance to get in with my numbers. Will it really be worth it to throw my app in the ring this late in the game when my cycle is almost over?

Just a "you're in" phone call. No additional interview.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Woah. WOAH. So a JS2 is literally just an acceptance phone call? I'd say it's worth the $21.fragrock wrote:Hate to crash this party with something boring and on topic, but I just got an email with a fee waiver and I need some advice. I wouldn't read too much into fee waivers. I've been rejected from a school this cycle that gave me a solicited waiver and accepted to one that refused me one.

Yes, I love that howl (or sometimes it's called "baying," when we're hot on the trail of a rabbit he wants to chase) that many breeds of hound have.ks2499 wrote:So cute! What's the usual MAC1 to MAC2 timeline anyways? I heard 2.75 Tuesdays but looking for additional insight.wannabelawstudent wrote:Had MAC1 in mid-Jan, I'm still waiting on MAC2

I have to say, this thread makes me feel good about the classmate prospects of the school. Sounds like an overwhelming go for it from the very speedy responses, and after looking at the LSN graph it looks like they've actually accepted a few people with numbers close to mine... Why the hell not!

Also, once you've gone complete, let them know you'd like to set up an interview.fragrock wrote:I have to say, this thread makes me feel good about the classmate prospects of the school. Apply! The "late in cycle" consideration has pretty much gone out the window IMO. Schools will wait as long as it takes to ensure that their medians/class size work out. Your numbers aren't bad at all.
Also there will be plenty of post-decision movement across the entire T20 as people negotiate scholly, change their minds regarding how much debt they're comfortable with, get in off of waitlists/holds and etc...
Good luck!
ETA: agree with Crowing re: fee waivers. I've gotten rejected from schools that offered me one and into schools that rejected me one.

I don't know, my KO1 was awesome, even though it didn't immediately end in a KO2Xs20 wrote:Refer to it as a MAC1 in your requestalwayssunnyinfl wrote:Also, once you've gone complete, let them know you'd like to set up an interview.fragrock wrote:I have to say, this thread makes me feel good about the classmate prospects of the school. The first time I met MAC, she spent 20 minutes reassuring a girl that her 3.0/156 was still "reviewable" at WUSTL. Oh "3.0/156"'s aunt works at WUSTL and MAC knew the aunt.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:I don't know, my KO1 was awesome, even though it didn't immediately end in a KO2Xs20 wrote:Refer to it as a MAC1 in your requestalwayssunnyinfl wrote:Also, once you've gone complete, let them know you'd like to set up an interview.fragrock wrote:I have to say, this thread makes me feel good about the classmate prospects of the school. thought that was pretty nice of MAC to not blow her off.
edit: that was by no means a blow at the girl. she was nice but didn't really seem to have it all together in terms of how to work a meet 'n greet.
