Nah, it's nearly impossible to figure out who internet people are.

Funny story I realized last week that someone posting on this site happened to be someone that grew up on the same street as me. I pm'd him something just to mess with him and he sent "yeah Ive known you are for a while XXXX" it was a humbling moment

That's crazy. I know a friend of mine is on TLS and I have narrowed it down to a few people.

Halfway point for Chicago BigLaw placement. (Finished 31 of 60 firms)

(Going forward, PR= post-Recession)

So far, Kirkland & Ellis has more Northwestern PR associates in Chicago than all the WUSTL and Notre Dame PR associates combined. (Out of the 31 firms counted so far)

Official count thus far (and firm with highest headcount for that school):

WUSTL: 20 (Kirkland & Ellis)
Notre Dame: 26 (Jones Day)
UIUC: 59 (Kirkland & Ellis)
Northwestern: 153 (Kirkland & Ellis)

Average percentage of graduates finding jobs in Illinois (average of 2009, 2010, 2011)*
WUSTL: 11%
ND: 20%
UIUC: 56%
NU: 39.3%

There are still 29 firms left to be counted, including:
McDermott Will & Emery LLP
Nixon Peabody LLP
McGuireWoods LLP
Proskauer Rose LLP
Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP
Paul Hastings LLP
Ropes & Gray LLP
Sidley Austin LLP
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP
Winston & Strawn LLP

*All percentages/class sizes from LST/NALP. Couldn't find data for classes of 2008 and 2012.

Okay now that Im officially rejected from NU I think I want to house this thread until I get my wash u decision (a rejection? Most likely)

I hope that's okay, or are there some HOA fees I need to PayPal somewhere?

Hopefully! I think there's gonna be a lot of movement between now and the 15th...if there isn't then it would mean that WUSTL will have to send out a large chunk of decisions after or during the initial distribution of scholarship awards. I can't really see that happening considering how many applicants must have applied in December/January.

Good luck!

After being shred to pieces on the choosing a law school forum I hope this thread will be a wave of fun and games today.

You can't escape the 'Retake, ED UVA.' This is TLS.

I feel like I am following jay jones everywhere. I am sitting in here as well. I have heard great things about the school, but unsure if I can see myself there in the future. Only time will tell. Hopeful for good news for us all :).

Yes you can, just have a shitty GPA and you'll get "Retake, go to Northwestern"

Cuse and I were talking about this the other day.. Since the WUSTL Law apparel selection is really weak and the stuff they do have is ugly, would anyone with some graphic design talent want to design a sweatshirt or something that we can have custom printed for people who want one?

This got me looking at the online store, and all they have is what appears to be a blank sweatshirt with the WUSTL logo and "School of Law" copy-pasted onto it. As I'm a couple time zones away and won't be able to visit till ASW (or later), is the selection really that bad? Not that I would base my law school future on apparel...or would I?

A part of me thinks that it could just be as easy as telling Clifford or someone in the office that there's a lack of desirable law school apparel..Maybe they'd just make more options for us...Even if they didn't I know students at other schools have internal apparel sales as class fundraisers and stuff...I'd be surprised if the existing classes at WUSTL never did this, and if they didn't, it wouldn't be hard for us to do anyway

Yup. It's a lost cause really.
As for WUSTL I'm not expecting much and preparing myself for a rejection. But hey this thread is fun and has great people, so why not house it till then?
