What did your financial aid e-mail say? assuming they didn't list any scholarship info in the list, did they just dump a ton of loans on you?

They will send you an amended award letter once scholly is decided. Same goes for any scholly-increases. I wouldn't worry about it. I certainly wouldn't interpret it as a sign that you're not getting any scholly at all

Do you have a scholarship amount on the fin aid email? And have you checked your spam folder for the scholly info?
I check my spam folder like a religious nutjob, so no, it's not in my spam folder.
And it's an underwhelming offer to say the least. I just find it strange that I would get this form without receiving the first letter. But everything's different this year, I guess. I'm in no rush to respond, so I'll sit on this for a little bit.

Not everyone. It seems to be kinda random. I'm honestly at a loss.

I like to think that they're just waiting for people to withdraw and pooling all that extra money into a megascholarship for me

My status date changed from app complete 2/11 to 3/12.
Any sign of that being good news or bad news? Or am I just paranoid/unbelievably anxious?
I'm guessing the latter.

Yep, the latter. Nothing to be gleaned from updates, I'm afraid.

Does anyone who's going to the 3/29 ASD know where they're staying? Anyone who went to the other ASD have any hotel recommendations? I remember there were some recommendations like 500 pages ago but I can't find them

I Pricelined a place in a horrible location right by the Arch. It is, however, right near a metro stop, and I doubt I'll be in my hotel room much anyway. Clayton is the place you wanna be, though they seemed to run a little higher.

I stayed at the Ritz in Clayton for $109 I believe. Wherever you book, make sure you tell them you're there to visit Wash U and they'll usually give you a pretty significant discount. The Moonrise hotel looked pretty nice too, and is really close to campus.

Welp, I guess I just really dropped the ball on this one. Whatever, I got my room for a steal.
