God I hope WUSTL is generous. I've very anxious to pull the trigger and settle on a school.

Look at LSN. It looks like they are shooting for ~3.7/165 this year. Our class has dropped from 276 two years ago to ~196 this year. We'll take the LSAT drop before another drop in class size. With the shrinking applicant pool, they'll be unable to match the 167/168 days from peak enrollment again. Application numbers are down another ~25% or so across the board.UAX09 wrote:Why do you think that WUSTL's median LSAT will drop to 165? I bet that WUSTL will shrink the class even further before letting the LSAT score drop more. WUSTL can afford to have a smaller class.Randomnumbers wrote:
With another applicant drop, it's going to be pretty interesting to see how we do this year - I think our admissions office is definitely on their game this year. But it's already apparent that our LSAT is going to drop to 165 - but considering the ~25%+ drop in applicants over the past two years, this isn't shocking.

So, I just GEEKED OUT and crunched the numbers. Among those who reported acceptances on LSN, the median is a 167/3.57. Of course, they may start taking higher GPA's and lower LSAT scores as the cycle continues, but it looks like they're aiming for at least a 166 if not 167.Randomnumbers wrote: Look at LSN. Remember that the medians on LSN are probably skewed slightly upward though. I'm pretty sure Regulus crunched the numbers for the whole T14 and found that the median reported acceptance #s LSN were a little higher than each school's actual median for that year.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:So, I just GEEKED OUT and crunched the numbers. Makes sense, with the selection bias of LSN users. Still, it also makes sense they they'll go all out this year to either protect or improve medians if at all possible.Xs20 wrote:Remember that the medians on LSN are probably skewed slightly upward though. No idea if this helps or hurts my 164/3.6. Considering calling tomorrow morning and asking if I can pop down at the end of the week and still interview. Is there any consensus on whether or not this provides a real boost?

If it weren't for LS on the horizon, I'd peace out. But for social stuff and moving to a new city, etc., I think it'll be useful.dproduct wrote:Ugh Facebook is the worst. Now I remember why I left this.
