You can try to 'talk up' your application by encouraging some water cooler talk

Last year the free parking ticket they gave me at ASD didn't work so I ended up having to pay the parking fee anyway when I left seeing as I couldn't leave the garage otherwise.

Oh my God, its like you just looked into my soul. I'm in FL too and I'm so tired of this delightful weather. I was pissed that I couldn't go to this ASW and that I have to go to the next one when it will probably be in the 50-60 or something.

Hahaha I saw that! No I know... I lived in the Northeast for a while in one of the snowiest places in the country (think 10x more snowfall than Chicago and the namesake of one of the more informative posters on this thread). I have too many sweaters to live in FL. One of my coworkers was like, "Its going to get cold tonight" IT IS 65 DEGREES!

TBF, after a few days in Miami I found myself complaining of the cold as well.

I went to UG in Chicago and my roommate was from LA. He pretty much shit himself from excitement the first time it snowed. It gets pretty old when it covers everything for like 4 months and makes it a pain in the ass to get places though.

I mean... I kind of am grateful bc the only reason why I haven't freaked out about missing undergrad is that I can't convince myself that I'm not on summer break w/ this weather.

My favorite is when the pretty white powder morphs into a giant, salty frappuccino.

In Northern Missouri where I was like 2 years ago we had what we called the "snowpocalypse." It was only like 2 feet of snow in one day which I guess is nothing in many places but it was pretty overwhelming for MO. I mean I don't even own any boots. There was one Wal-Mart parking lot in which they shoveled all the snow into one huge mound 20 ft+ tall mound; that little slice of winter took until midsummer to melt.

I was in Philly for that one, and this city gets heavy snowfall so infrequently that the response to any decent amount of snow is pretty pathetic. I'm sure it's much better in St. Louis, so that's good news. My old apartment doesn't even begin to capture the full extent of it, but:

Nah, inside was lots of delivery, booze, friends, and Redbox. You learn to adapt.
(Incidentally, the first photo was taken in early December, the second in mid-January. So the window is pretty short. Thanks, global warming!)

Not at all. Really anxious to see the campus though, everyone's been telling me how awesome it is.

I walked around it several years ago and absolutely loved it.

It's pretty cool, especially being all (except the med school) situated around a quandrangle so there are no roads through the campus itself.

I thought that was a big part of why it was so pretty!

Insider tip. Around 4:30 on Friday afternoon, our happy hour starts. So roll in and pretend to be a law student. Free beer. But seriously talk to the students and whatnot. It's what pushed me over the edge. Everyone is genuinely nice and you forget you're competing against these people.

They let the admitted students participate during last year's ASD. But they had already been continuously serving us alcohol during the reception prior to that, so, yeahhh daydrunk...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
