I lived in the Northeast for a while in one of the snowiest places in the country (think 10x more snowfall than Chicago and the namesake of one of the more informative posters on this thread). In Northern Missouri where I was like 2 years ago we had what we called the "snowpocalypse." It was only like 2 feet of snow in one day which I guess is nothing in many places but it was pretty overwhelming for MO. I mean I don't even own any boots. I was in Philly for that one, and this city gets heavy snowfall so infrequently that the response to any decent amount of snow is pretty pathetic. I'm sure it's much better in St. Louis, so that's good news.
