Remember what you said -They're basically only making admit-decisions until then. They're sitting on a whole bunch of applications because they want to wait and see what the pool is like

This seems right on the money. I was told during my interview (1/4) that I'd most likely hear back in early/mid-February. I think that meant I was headed for a waitlist until they decided to admit me after my interview, at which point they notified my by email that same day.

I would expect those that they're on the fence about to start hearing in the next few weeks.

What is this interview you speak of?? I've heard nothing about that. and everyone here seems to have had one.... do they request it or do you?

--ImageRemoved--

OR WAIT. my numbers weren't good enough to even interview. :(

It seems like most people on this forum that mention interviews were asked to interview via email, and many were offered admission.

There is a section on WUSTL's website that says you can request your own interview if you'd like. Maybe read back through some of the comments regarding the interview content to prepare, then call and request an interview. So long as you have bondafide reasons for wanting to attend, it couldn't hurt to interview. I would even say it shows interest and initiative, so it might help a lot.

Pretty much what I'm doing - not working anymore so from now until LS starts I'm just going to do a bunch of traveling and visiting friends across the country. I mean, the next 40 years or so are gonna more or less suck so you may as well have some fun now

Very credited. My last free summer I decided to work at a law firm to "get experience" or some crap like that. It was miserable, and I really regretted turning down a lot more fun options.

I wasn't aware WUSTL interviewed, and I go there. If your LSAT is above the cutoff, you will get in almost regardless of anything else (notwithstanding serious C&F issues).
I believe they just started the interview program this year.

Looking at apartments on Craigslist. I just, I still don't think these prices are real. Almost everything is less than half of what you'd pay for the same apartment in Miami.

Yeah the lower living costs are a huge plus in the WUSTL column..Padmapper is also a pretty reliable site if you're looking for housing :)

They budget $13,000 per academic year for room and board. If you divide that by the nine academic months, that's $1400. Even if you apply it to all 12 months, I don't see how you could possibly spend $1,100/month to live there. And that doesn't include the $5k they budget for "personal expenses." That 68k COA figure they quote could easily be cut by several grand.

and if you compare it to COL in Lexington for W&L it even blows minds even more.

related: WUSTL vs. W&L
are they peer schools at all? ranking wise they are very similar, any thoughts?
