Got the rejection for the ALS fellows scholarship by email this afternoon, just in case anyone else hadn't checked yet.

Got this too. Was kind of bummed, but then got a call from the admissions office, and was offered a $2500/yr scholarship. Anyone else have this happen as well?

Anyone going to the IP reception tomorrow night? I went to the first one, but I'm thinking about going to this one as well for the whole IP focus of it all.

I was under the impression that the only thing FB charged for was sending messages to people that you're not friends-of-friends with, but that have changed...

No, scary lack of movement on the housing front. Hopefully things start hooking up as people move out after the semester.

My status checker headline changed again from being about setting up a visit to that they were sending an official acceptance packet. I think that's what it said right after I got accepted so maybe it's just an error, but hopefully it means they are mailing out more info now that deposits are in.

Been looking in the Virginia Highlands/ Inman park area. I found a few places and they rent immediately before I get to look at them. Just frustrating so far

Understandable, just keep hustling. Those areas are definitely great places to be looking, but unfortunately the move-in/move-out times for current rental residents is less regular or predictable than in other parts of town, IMO (for instance, the rental places that surround Emory have much more of a mass exodus in May and a mass influx in late July/early August).

Email this AM saying I've been placed on the "Priority Waitlist"... But who knows what that means...

I wonder if this is the basic response to anyone who makes the initial request to remain on the waitlist/that I emailed in the day of the decision 2-3 weeks ago, or if this is because of the LOCI I sent in last week.

Anyone else get this email, or have experience with GSU priority waitlist?

EDIT: Just received a confirmation that they are adding the LOCI to my file, so I guess it hasn't been factored in yet...

To be honest, I was seriously dreading having to do that, as I already wrote it for the second time (and again scored less than my PT averages).

It's all good, because I was admitted via email, this morning. I think my LOCI that I sent in last friday put me over the top...

And, I just mailed the $500 deposit to Mercer yesterday, too smh...
