Did anyone who applied to the evening program get rejected or waitlisted yet?

Thanks for sharing the info, but wow, quite surprised.
My stats are pretty similar to yours, but I am waiting on Feb LSAT scores, so my app isn't complete yet and Temple is my #1 choice.
Good luck!

Evening program? And did they update online status checker before? Or did they just send you the letter?doglover0702 wrote:Waitlisted via snail mail yesterday.

Seems like they are waitlisting most people with scores under 160...

Does anyone really know when they start (assuming they will) pulling people off the waitlist? Temple is a top choice for me, as I am a Philly native, and I'm so anxious to hear back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I hadn't checked in a while. Decision made 2/19 and letter was sent that day. I applied for full time, and I thought I asked to be considered for both, but it just says wait listed. Oh well!

Well I can almost guarantee you that it won't be until after the first seat deposit is due at Temple (not sure when that is). Schools set class limits, wait to see how many applicant's have accepted the offer, and then go to the wait list to make up the difference. Thus, I assume they will start offering people admissions off the wait list around mid to late April (if at all). However, this process could go long into the summer depending on where you are on the wait list.

And the first seat deposit isn't due for Temple until April 15th, so unless they can get a sense of how many people may/may not attend from the pool of students they've already admitted, it'll probably be a little bit after that.nick417 wrote:csexton182 wrote:Does anyone really know when they start (assuming they will) pulling people off the waitlist? Received a mailing today with a $7,500 annual scholarship, and have since withdrawn. Temple had some plusses for me but this offer is a good 20k less than what I've received from comparable schools.

Okay thanks guys. I did some research on my own and came up with around mid-April as well. It would mean a ton to me if I get admitted. I'm definitely going to practice in Philly, and really love Temple's Trial Ad Program. So crossing fingers! Congratulations to all of you guys who have been admitted

Finally heard back on scholly reconsideration! Conwell Scholarship for 5625k/year! Totally over the moon. I am going PT, so this is pretty generous. Will be attending Temple for sure in the fall.

In today via status checker! I'm guessing all the financial info will come in via snail mail?

How long did it take for the scholly committee to get back to you?

The stips on a $5600000/yr scholly have to be pretty tight, though, right?phillyfun wrote:Finally heard back on scholly reconsideration! Conwell Scholarship for 5625k/year! Totally over the moon. I am going PT, so this is pretty generous. Will be attending Temple for sure in the fall.

You have to be first in the class at all times, and wash all the professors' cars every weekend. Waxing on alternating weekends.bulinus wrote:The stips on a $5600000/yr scholly have to be pretty tight, though, right?

It's not the open house. But every once in a while there are days when they'll let you sit in on a class and do a tour, etc. Tomorrow is one of them.Keasbey wrote:There's an ASD tomorrow? I thought it was on 3/23.phlmar wrote:anyone going to asd tomorrow?
I can't go because of work, but I'd like to see a real class eventually.

Magp, I did one of these last week. They also hold a few at night if you can get there after work. It started at 4:30. Though, if you can, I'd suggest going during the day so you can get a feel of what the school is like during the day with more students, etc. out and about. We only saw the part-time students and class, which may not be as helpful for people going full-time.

Re: Temple University c/o 2016 Applicants
Yeah, I saw those, and that's my concern. If get the go-ahead from my bosses, then maybe I'll take a "long lunch" and go during the day or something. I am pretty much committed to going as it is, so it's not a tragedy either way.cc6148 wrote:Magp, I did one of these last week. They also hold a few at night if you can get there after work. There also is the admitted students weekend March 23, which is all day and on a Saturday. I did one of the tours, but I'm going to go to this thing as well. Anybody else here going?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
