Thank you!magp90 wrote:Yeah, the costs ultimately add up for them if they continue to put down multiple deposits... we can only hope that's a disincentive... Best of luck, you guys!Lumieres wrote:Yeah. +1 to magp's post.
I know a few people who sent in multiple deposits who are still undecided. I'm totally against it, but it is what it is and they want more time to decide. Must stink for the waitlisted people, but hopefully they don't send in multiple 2nd deposits come June...

Had no idea you were on the waitlist to begin with! Didn't you have like 3.8 and 160s? Either way, hope you enroll!csexton182 wrote:cc6148 wrote:IN off the waitlist this morning! SO THRILLED!

Close to that! I am pretty thrilled to have been admitted. I'm going to plan a visit this week and go check it out. I'll have a tough decision if it is at sticker, but I hope there is some award in the mail. We'll see. I appreciate the support everyone! I hope to meet all of you.

I'll admit I don't know much about the process, but is it common for waitlisted students to get scholarship money? I was slightly surprised not to get any myself back in January, but so it goes. Not keeping me from going, and there are others who probably need it more.

It's possible, but highly unlikely. The Lucky One wrote:Congrats to both of you!csexton182 wrote:cc6148 wrote:IN off the waitlist this morning! SO THRILLED!

Thank you! I'm not sure if waitlisted students often get scholarship money, but I'm hoping for at least a bit! Would make giving up my other scholarships a bit less difficult. I can let you know more once I receive my acceptance packet.Lumieres wrote:It's possible, but highly unlikely. The Lucky One wrote:Congrats to both of you!csexton182 wrote:cc6148 wrote:IN off the waitlist this morning! You're probably right, but i really hope not haha. I'll let you know once I receive my packet. Any of you guys in the Philadelphia area? How long did it take to receive?

It took a few business days. I don't think they sent it out right away

no merit aid
I hate to say it because, after my visit yesterday, I love Beasley but I dont think I can do it at sticker, especially with such a cheap alternative. anyone have any luck with scholarship reconsideration letters? I have some pretty similar schools offering me pretty good deals. Thanks everyone

I was accepted off the wait list this past Monday also. Temple's tuition is reasonable, if you are a resident. As for non residents, is it possible to establish your residency within your first year there and then pay the in-state cost?
Also, any recommendations on where to live?

Re: Temple University c/o 2016 Applicants
It's a little hard actually to establish residency after the first year. The requirements state that you need to have lived in Philadelphia for twelve months for non-academic reasons. Basically you would need to find a way to prove that you have strong ties to the area (i.e. your family has moved to PA, you're getting married to a resident of the area, etc.). Saying that you'll get a job afterwards probably won't cut it.lawschool4 wrote:I was accepted off the wait list this past Monday also. Temple's tuition is reasonable, if you are a resident. That goes for me as well. Withdrew off WL yesterday, I simply cannot afford it. It seems like a great school though, and I really wanted to go, but just don't have the funds to do so. I wish you all the best of luck in your legal endeavors, and hope someone fills my spot!
