I've also been complete and under review since early December- not sure if they just haven't started reviewing ours or the status doesn't change. Any of you who've been accepted know?

I don't remember if there as an "in review" status, but I do remember that the status completely vanished when a decision was rendered. Now it reads "Admitted."

Sorry. Not much help.

That is kind of helpful. More comforting then hearing you say your certain about a "under review" status. The admissions process page says "Once your application file is complete, it typically takes 6-8 weeks to receive a decision from the Faculty Admissions Committee." Hopefully that means were both under review and will be hearing back shortly!

In via email with $21k/ year. I was terrified of not even being admitted...

App submitted on 12/17 ... Decision rendered the night after my status went blank on 01/16.

158 / 3.37 (3.65)

Consistent GPA improvement throughout undergrad, culminating in a 4.0 my senior year.
Fairly strong softs.
Pretty heavy work experience throughout undergrad.

Good luck everyone!

Applied 12/18, in today via e-mail with $26k/year Provost's Scholarship (3.0 GPA stip). Numbers are 3.6/161. Visited in November and got a very good vibe from the school.

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Nope, sorry--I actually never even checked my status for DU since I didn't think I'd be hearing back this quickly!

I went "under review" or something of the sort before a decision was rendered.

I hate to say what most people on TLS would say, but retake if you can. I was accepted last year off the wait list with a score in the 150s last year and offered no scholarship. I retook the LSAT, reapplied, and got a 20k+ scholarship just by going up 3 points so I very well may attend next year. If you can take a class or something and retake, do it.

So... I just received an email from DU today asking me to apply for financial aid. As I haven't heard anything admissions related yet, do you think there's something to this (ie decision coming soon!?!), or does everyone who applies just automatically get the financial aid email?

I got it as well, and only applied on Tuesday. I think everyone got it.

Yeah, that's what the majority of people are saying, no worries. It is a steep price and I just want to make sure I'm making the right decision. Thanks!

with the 22k discount, total cost looks like 105k + the juice, so like 120-125k. (http://www.du.edu/financialaid/law/cost/index.html) the common poster on this site will urge you not to go to a non T-14 for that kinda price, certainly not DU. in your case, you weren't given any discount at all. LST claims the non-discounted rate is 208k -- http://www.lstscorereports.com/?school=denver.

only people employed by DU will tell you that 208k for DU is a good deal, and that is no joke. people who go there and pay full-freight are being scammed. I'm not picking on DU; same goes for my school and most others. its really pretty simple: the professors and administrators make too much money, and the job market for entry level attorneys is too crowded. the only people not getting scammed by attending a school like DU at full-freight are the super-rich, who can pretty much waltz through life while unknowingly scamming everyone around them.

you can go to DU, work your ass off during and after school, and have a great legal career, but, for lack of a more eloquent way of putting it, paying out the ass for a DU education is just lazy and stupid.

Somebody needs to read the sticky at the top of this forum again... http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=146613

"this forum is NOT the place for non-applicants to argue or debate which law schools are worth attending and under what circumstances."

For everyone else, I'm a 2L at DU, and would be happy to answer any questions about the school, surrounding areas, etc. you may have.

I sympathize with this, but when 0Ls ask questions about whether X Law School is worth it, what are people suppose to say? Here, the question was " What are you guys' thoughts on attending w/o scholarship?"

If the question was "what apartment near the school provides the best bang for your buck?", I wouldn't have said anything.

I don't see a question there, but I do see an unsolicited dig on a school you don't attend.

As for the other posts, if someone has a question about whether it's worth it to attend without a scholarship, or with $22k, or with full ride, direct them to another forum, or PM them, but don't sit here and throw barbs at a school you don't attend.

ETA: Sorry, I initially said you did this last year, but looking back I don't see anything egregious. Still, this isn't the place, nor is it your place, to dissuade people from making a decision which, frankly, is none of your business.

How has your experience been in general at DU thus far? Any perspective on employment prospects from 3Ls?
