Went complete on 10/15 as well.
151/3.95, applied ED.
I've been told to retake by everyone on this forum. I am in a position where I can afford USD at sticker, so please do not respond to this by telling me to retake. I cannot and will not be, at least this cycle.

What do you all think of my odds of admission? I really want to attend USD, but have yet to hear back. It says file complete. I'm interested in opinions on my shot at admission. I think applying ED should help ...

Plus, I believe they get back to all ED applicants by the end of the year...

My status says decision rendered 12/3 but I haven't received a letter yet. How long does it take for a letter to go across country?

Hey - for those with scholarships can you comment on what the stip is? The compilation thread on tls says top 50%. Is that still accurate?

Congrats on the acceptences so far!

I got my acceptance in the mail today...The scholly just said 20k for the first year only. I was a little perplexed by this, I thought most schools did it on a 3 year basis. This probably takes San Diego out of the running because I'm not trying to pay sticker years 2 and 3

From what I understand, they assess scholly's from year to year, and if you do well it could go up. Likewise, if you do poorly it could go down.

I'd dig a little deeper. A 3 year package usually has stips which won't necessarily be met (not to be pessimistic); the reality is people do lose their scholly's. Most law applicants are near the top of there UG class, but the reality is when we are all in the same room together the game changes--the top 10-20% UG that apply to law school can't all also be top 10-20% in law school.

But enough pessimism. Check with the school regarding stipulations for being awarded scholly's in years 2 and 3. This may be nonexistent as USD, but I do know some schools (Catholic, for example) have a built in structure for awards in 2 and 3 based on 1L grades.

While USD isn't very popular on this site or LSN, I cannot find a single person admitted below a 154.

ETA: Looks like there are two people sub 154 who got in during the 09-10 cycle:

Anyone been rejected yet? Status changed to decision rendered today wondering if I got in or not is killing me. GPA 3.48, LSAT 162

With that stat line, I would not be concerned with a rejection. Don't worry.

Cue the "Woump, Woump" music. Lol.

You never know; he does have a 3.95. Maybe he's got a shot! :)

Annnnnnd it's 2012, with lower applicant numbers and LSAT. You never know.

Oh, and LSN for last year only had just over 200 applicants report, and US News says there were over 4200 total.

Oh, and while the 25% LSAT was 158 the 75% GPA was only 3.6.

I'm not trying to give this guy unrealistic hope; it's definitely not a sure thing, but I think he's got a shot. Chances are good that most 151s aren't 3.95s, so he's a bit of an anomaly. :)

Apparently Harvard admitted a 120-something LSAT ex-law enforcement a couple years back. Could be folklore--who knows?

it's true. never give up hope. if you truly perceive yourself there, you worked hard, and you want it enough--you can do it! don't let anyone tell you otherwise. it has probably happened to someone out there, and it can happen to you too!! if not, well, you'll be the first.

you're gonna be that little green dot on LSN that has 5,000 views hahaha

Application complete 11/16/2012, regular decision. Have heard nothing since then

Lol, you all are hilarious. I realize my shot isn't too great, but LSP had me at 32% weak consider and LSAC had me at 14%-49%.
I figure there's an outside shot, though after being denied through ED, I think my chances are going to be significantly lower now that I'm in the RD pool. I'm a statistical anomaly, and I explained that. I told them about my strong desire to be a part of their securities law program with my strong background in finance/investments.

Just waiting to hear back, they said I'll receive my RD decision by late March.

Checking in here.

Was admitted last year in with LSAT in the 150s. Retook this year and should be accepted again hopefully with $ this time around.

I visited the school and can comment upon what I saw from 1 day there. School is absolutely gorgeous... felt like I was walking around Club Med not a university. While the law school is beautiful on the outside I found the school to be disappointing on the inside; it reminded me of my high school with the hallways and what not. Overall, I liked it a lot which influenced my decision to retake and hope for $.
